Attorney Tellez is licensed by the Supreme Court of the State of Texas and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Dallas Bar Association. Attorney Tellez is originally from Waco and studied in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico for four years where he learned to master Spanish. He personally understands the immigration process and its laws.
Attorney Tellez received his bachelor's degree in Criminology from the University of Texas at Arlington. He received his Juris Doctor from the Valparaiso University School of Law. Before starting with Jaime Barron PC., Mr. Tellez was a law clerk for Catholic Charities of Dallas and the National Immigration Justice Center in Chicago, where he assisted in legal matters and interpretation of immigration laws, and where he gained experience in the area of family immigration law. In his career, he has advised people wanting to obtain immigration benefits for themselves and their families.
Attorney Tellez helped clients to obtain their permanent residences through the consular process and through adjustment of status. Before, graduating from law school he represented Asylum cases where he obtained good results for his clients. Likewise, Mr. Tellez has obtained experience in I-601 Waivers cases as well as process removal cases. Mr. Tellez is a very involved person in the immigrant community, appearing in radio interviews, newspapers, and even phone tanks to answer questions from the community. Attorney Tellez, like the rest of our team, is constantly studying and assimilating into the new Federal rules and processes.
Attorney Alicia Hernández was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and moved to the United States as a child. Before becoming a U.S. citizen, Attorney Hernandez was a DACA recipient. As an immigrant herself, she knew her passion was to fight for immigrants' rights. Attorney Hernandez graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. In 2016, she began working at the Jaime Barron P.C. law firm, as a paralegal, then graduated from UNT Dallas College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate in Law.
Awilda I. Moné is an attorney licensed by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Finance major from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She received her Juris Doctor Degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property and Technology from the American University Washington College of Law.
While studying law, she had the opportunity to study abroad at José Ortega & Gasset Institute in Toledo, Spain. She also served as a student attorney in "Legal Services of Puerto Rico" which aims to provide services to less privileged sectors in family law matters and juvenile criminal cases.
Before joining the law offices of Jaime Barron, P.C., Ms. Moné worked as an Examining Attorney for the Puerto Rico Trademark Office and taught courses as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Universidad Ana G. Méndez. At the same time, she maintained her private practice focusing on cases related to family law, personal injury, commercial and private contracts, and misdemeanor cases.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family. She is a native Spanish speaker and speaks English fluently.

Mr. Arciniega is an attorney licensed by the State Bar of Arizona. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and American Literature from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Juris Doctorate from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. While at ASU, Mr. Arciniega worked with the law school's immigration clinic and became familiar with various immigration laws, including removal proceedings and employment immigration.
Prior to joining Jaime Barron's law practice, Mr. Arciniega primarily practiced in the business immigration field, where he gained extensive experience with employment-based immigration cases, including temporary work visas and employment-based permanent residence.
As an immigrant originally born in Tijuana, Mexico, Mr. Arciniega has firsthand knowledge of the transformative impact of the U.S. immigration process. He hence strives to assist others in accessing the same invaluable opportunities. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. In his free time, he likes to watch movies, attend concerts, and perform comedy in the DFW area.

Mr. Whetten is an attorney licensed by the Supreme Court of Nevada, and the Supreme Court of New Mexico, as well as being a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Mr. Whetten graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah with a bachelor's degree in English Literature, and received his Juris Doctor from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. While at St. Mary's, Mr. Whetten worked in the school's Center for Legal and Social Justice Immigration and Human Rights Clinic and served as a staff writer for The Scholar: St. Mary's Law Review on Race and Social Justice.
Before joining Jaime Barron, P.C., Mr. Whetten practiced immigration law in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Las Vegas, Nevada, where he represented clients before the Immigration Court and the Department of Homeland Security. Born in El Paso, Texas to Mexican parents, Mr. Whetten feels at home on both sides of the border. In addition to living in the United States and Mexico, Mr. Whetten has lived in Paraguay, Ecuador, Colombia, and Spain. Mr. Whetten is fluent in both English and Spanish.
In his free time, Mr. Whetten enjoys exploring new places, camping on the weekends, and visiting friends and family across the country. Mr. Whetten is very happy to be back home in Texas and is proud of the work he does as an immigration attorney.

Carolina Consuegra is an attorney licensed by the District of Columbia Bar. Ms. Consuegra obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from American University, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law.
While in law school, Ms. Consuegra had the opportunity to participate in a legal fellowship assisting underage students and their legal guardians with matters related to the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). While there, she also had the opportunity to assist in juvenile delinquency, truancy, probation, and diversion cases of residents of the District of Columbia.
Ms. Consuegra also had the opportunity to serve as a student attorney in two law school clinics-the General Practice Clinic (family and domestic violence matters), and the Whistleblower Protection Clinic. Both clinics are dedicated to assisting less privileged individuals in legal matters.
Ms. Consuegra was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She is of Cuban descent and is a native English and Spanish speaker. Ms. Consuegra enjoys traveling, going to the beach, and playing golf during her free time.

Ms. DeGracia received her Bachelor's of Science in International Business and Minor in Spanish from the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas. She received her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary's School of Law, in San Antonio, Texas. During her law school career, she worked for Texas RioGrande Legal Aid and was a part-time staff member of her St. Mary's Law Library.
She was also an active participant in the Hispanic Law Students Association, Black Lawyer's Student Association, and Women's Lawyer's Student Association at St. Mary's. Additionally, she interned for the Dallas County Court of Law #1 in Dallas, Texas. She later served as a student attorney at the Consumer Protections clinic at St. Mary's during her final year of law school.
Ms. DeGracia is a first-generation American whose parents immigrated to the United States from Colombia and Panama. She is fluent in Spanish and English and hopes to learn some additional languages in the future. During her free time, she likes to find new cool restaurants, read books, and watch anime.
Ms. Torres received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She received her Juris Doctor from St. Mary's University School of Law, in San Antonio, Texas. During her law school career, Ms. Torres volunteered doing immigration work with RAICES and American Gateways. She also participated and work her way up to President of the Immigration Law Students Association and Hispanic Law Students Association of St. Mary's. Additionally, she interned for the Executive Office for Immigration Review ("EOIR") Immigration Court in San Antonio, Texas. She later served as a student attorney at St. Mary's Immigration and Human Rights Clinic during her final year of law school.
Ms. Torres knows first-hand the struggles and emotional toll the immigration process can take on families, as she is a first-generation Mexican-American. Ms. Torres is fluent in English and Spanish. During her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, exercising, spending time with loved ones, and cheering for the Dallas Mavericks.
Ms. Sustaita is an attorney licensed by the State Bar of Texas. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas with degrees in Political Science and Spanish. Ms. Sustaita received her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas. During her law school career, Ms. Sustaita interned with the International Rescue Committee and worked with its SAFE Department, which focused on providing legal representation to those in removal proceedings.
She also held officer positions in the Hispanic Law Students Association and the Immigration Law Student Association. Additionally, she served as a student attorney at the VanSickle Family Law Clinic during law school.
Ms. Sustaita is a first-generation Mexican-American. She is fluent in English and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, pottery, and spending time with her friends and family.
Josue Angel Delgado is an attorney licensed by the State Bar of Texas. Josue was born in Puebla, Mexico, and immigrated to the United States when he was young. He attended the University of Utah where he graduated with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Economics. Upon graduation, Josue moved to Dallas where he began a career in international business, working principally in Latin America, and later on, Paris, France. The dream of becoming a lawyer and working as an immigration attorney never left him. After nearly a decade in France, Josue returned to the United States where he obtained his law degree from LSU. Josue speaks both Spanish and French.
While in law school Josue participated in the Hispanic Law Student Association. He was selected as a participant for the prosecution clinic at LSU where he tried actual cases and advocated for the people of Louisiana. Upon moving back to Dallas, he was selected as a Post Bar Intern at the Dallas County District Attorney's Office where he continued to expand his knowledge of the law and improve his trial presentation
Josue is an avid football/soccer fan. While in Paris he started one of the largest football/soccer groups for expatriates and locals, bringing together cultures and ethnicities from around the world. In his spare time, he enjoys watching his favorite teams, Chelsea FC and Chivas of Guadalajara

Kelley Ortega is our managing attorney at our Washington, DC office. She is an attorney licensed by the State Bar of Texas. Mrs. Ortega has practiced immigration law exclusively throughout her a career as an attorney. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with Emphasis in International Relations from Texas Christian University and a Juris Doctorate from the College of Law at Loyola University New Orleans. While in college, Mrs. Ortega volunteered with Proyecto Inmigrante, assisting individuals seeking naturalization. During this time she also spent a semester in Washington, DC working with the American Council of Young Political Leaders and their projects with elected officials from the U.S. and around the globe. While she was in law school, Mrs. Ortega participated in Loyola's Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice in the Criminal Defense section where she represented individuals in criminal matters and appeals. Mrs. Ortega is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Mrs. Ortega has assisted clients with a complete range of family-based immigration matters including immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions, naturalization, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers of inadmissibility, U and V visas, TPS, SIJS, and VAWA petitions. She has also represented clients in complex removal proceedings before the immigration court. Mrs. Ortega has conducted many seminars and presentations to the local community in efforts to advise individuals of their rights and protections under the law. She has also worked closely with various local law enforcements agencies in presentations with the "UNIDOS" program to bridge the gap between the immigrant community and their local police departments.
Mrs. Ortega is frequently interviewed on various television networks such as Univision, Telemundo and CNN en Español to discuss and explain matters relating to immigration law. She also conducts a weekly radio program, "Pregúntale a los Abogados," updating and informing the community on El Zol 107.9FM (Saturdays at 9:30am in the Washington DC area). Originally from Long Island, Kelley lived in Texas for many years before relocating back to the Washington DC metro area. She has strong ties to North Texas and the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Mrs. Ortega is dedicated to being a constant advocate for the local immigrant community.
She is of Salvadoran descent and is fluent in Spanish and English. An avid sports fan, Mrs. Ortega enjoys cheering on TCU football, running with her husband and practicing yoga in her spare time.
Mrs. McCabe graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech School of Law. She is licensed by the State Bar of Texas.
Mrs. McCabe began her immigration law career as a staff attorney at Proyecto Adelante before moving to Catholic Charities.
She has vast experience representing clients with employment-based cases including H-1B, L-1, and E-1 visas. Mrs. McCabe has also represented clients with family-based immigration matters, including immigrant and non-immigrant visas, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers of inadmissibility, naturalization, TPS, NACARA, and VAWA petitions. She has represented numerous clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court.

Ms. Daniels is an attorney licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Daniels received her Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law. As a law student, Ms. Daniels served as Staff Editor for the Administrative Law Journal, an academic journal. She also served in official capacities in several student organizations and served as Vice President of the Hispanic Law Student Association for two years. Ms. Daniels served as a student attorney in the Advanced Dispute Resolution Clinic during her last year in law school.
Mr. Hussein Sadruddin has been practicing law in the areas of Immigration & Nationality Law and Civil Rights litigation since 1998. He is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Born in Dhakka, Bangladesh and raised in Pakistan, Mr. Sadruddin holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence and a Master of Arts in International Relations from St. Mary's University. He also holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance, Marketing and Organization Behavior and Business Policy from Southern Methodist University.
Mr. Sadruddin's career includes working for nationally renowned organizations such as Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, a legendary civil rights organization founded on the request of President John F. Kennedy, and International Rescue Committee, an Internationally Renowned refugee re-settlement agency, founded on the request of Albert Einstein.
Mr. Sadruddin has been a recipient of several awards and grants for his work in immigration and civil rights. He has also authored several articles and manuals in the field of immigration and nationality law. Currently, Mr. Sadruddin is the Managing Attorney with the Law Firm of Jaime Barron, P.C. Mr. Sadruddin speaks English, Urdu, and Gujrati. He is authorized to practice law in all Federal Courts in Texas as well as with Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Meade is an attorney licensed by the State Bar of Texas. She graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in Political Science and received her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law.
While in law school, she advocated for immigrant communities with CARECEN (Central American Resource Center), served as an Equal Justice America Fellow with the ABA's Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project, and led community education efforts to amplify access to legal assistance with La Clínica del Pueblo (a non-profit located in Washington, D.C.) and her law school's Immigrant Justice Clinic. She also served as an Articles Editor for the Administrative Law Review.
Prior to joining Jaime Barron, P.C., Ms. Meade completed a legal fellowship with the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (ASAP). There, she helped manage online communities of thousands of asylum seekers by offering legal intervention assistance and creating pro se resources.
Natalia grew up in McAllen, Texas with family on both sides of the border. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Omar Ortiz Vélez obtained his Juris Doctor from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. During his studies, he interned at the Legal Aid Clinic of the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico where he helped people of scarce resources obtain legal aid where he found a passion and devotion to helping those in need. As a licensed attorney Omar has focused on human rights for the majority of his career.
He became the Head of the Legal Division of the Women's Advocate Office of Puerto Rico where he was fighting for equality of human rights in Puerto Rico. Since relocating to Texas, Omar has ben assisting immigrants before EOIR and USCIS. He has experience in assisting immigrants during Removal Proceedings and presenting relief before the court such as Asylum, Cancellation of Removal, among other forms of relief.

Mr. Nieto is a licensed attorney in Mexico and he received his law degree from Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua. He received his L.L.M (Masters in International and Comparative Law) from Southern Methodist University (SMU) - Dedman School of Law in 2003.
Prior to joining the private bar, Mr. Nieto worked for Catholic Charities-Immigration and Counseling Services where he worked as an accredited Immigration Counselor for more than 3 years. Aside from immigration counseling, he was the outreach coordinator responsible for presentations in the community regarding immigration issues. After his work with the non-profit sector, Rafael worked with various renowned law firms in the field of Immigration and Nationality Law. He has worked with other immigration law firms including Cedillo-Pereira & Cedillo, P.L.L.C. and Reina & Associates. Mr. Nieto has over 10 years of experience in Immigration Law prior to his work at the law firm of Jaime Barron, P.

Stefka was born in Sofia, Bulgaria and grew up in Bulgaria and Russia. After high school, Stefka attended Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, School of Law in Bulgaria, where she earned a Law degree (LLB), a degree indicated by a Latin acronym that translates to a Bachelor of Laws here in the United States.
After graduating from Sofia University, Stefka became a member of the Sofia Bar and went to work as a counselor in international and local laws in Sofia, Bulgaria. During her law school years, she clerked for a local firm before joining the civil law unit as a legal consultant. It was here that she developed key interests and skills in civil and international laws, writing and research. Wanting to further her knowledge, she then went on to obtain her Master of Laws degree at Southern Methodist University.
After obtaining her advanced law degree from SMU, Stefka worked in the legal area of immigration law for over 10 years assisting in family and business immigration, consular process, and adjustment of status. Stefka is an immigrant herself who experienced in person each step of the immigration process and has chosen the rewarding job of helping immigrants achieve their American dreams and keeping their families together. Stefka is happy raising her two sons and exploring with them the beauty of this country and its people.

Ms. Medina is an attorney authorized by the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico in Business Administration (BBA) with a concentration in accounting. Stephanie completed her Juris Doctor with Cum Laude honors from the Inter-American University School of Law, where she was a member of the National Association of Law Students. After finishing law school, she held the position of Director of Finance and Accounting for the Puerto Rico Diabetes Center.
While living in Puerto Rico she practiced law as a trial attorney and has taken cases in a wide range of areas, including state and federal disputes.
Ms. Medina is an experienced attorney who has dedicated more than 5 years to the practice of tax resolutions. During that time she was an office manager for Community Tax, LLC. located in Puerto Rico. She also handled complex IRS tax debt cases for individuals and businesses whose ultimate goal was to start or finish the immigration process. Due to her direct contact with hundreds of clients going through the immigration process, she developed an interest in immigration law. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Weber received her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas at Arlington. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of North Texas College of Law in Dallas, Texas. Prior to pursuing her law degree, Mrs. Weber spent 12 years in the United States Army serving as a paralegal in the Army Jag Corps. She was an extern for Human Rights Initiative and a volunteer for with Catholic Charities serving the community with their immigration needs.
Mrs. Weber is familiar with the significance and value that obtaining legal status has on individuals and their families. Her heart for serving the community comes from watching her mother and father navigate the immigration process when she was a child.
In her free time, Mrs. Weber enjoys spending quality time with her husband, watching her children play sports, reading, and baking.

Mr. Humble is licensed by the California State Bar, and has been a Member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He graduated from the Oak Brook College of Law and Government Policy (J.D. 2002). He is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas.
He has devoted his entire legal career almost exclusively to representing clients in matters of U.S. immigration and nationality law, helping families and employers with their loved ones and employees who are located all across the United States and, of course, in other countries. Prior to joining Jaime Barron, P.C., Mr. Humble founded American Visa Solutions, after having worked for firms in New York City, Boston, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas. Mr. Humble handles immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, employment-based and family-based cases, as well as citizenship, asylum, and both trial and appellate litigation (both in person and telephonically).
Mr. Humble represents clients before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Labor, and U.S. Department of Justice. Mr. Humble is fluent in Spanish, having lived and studied in Costa Rica. His articles have appeared on Immigration Lawyers Web, and his speaking engagements have included live radio call-in programs (in English and in Spanish). He serves as Adjunct Professor of Immigration Law for his alma mater. He enjoys the adventure of activities and events with his four children.
