Dr. Cristina Cacoilo

Dr. Cristina Cacoilo joined the Joint Motion Physical Therapy Team in September of 2022. She graduated from the University of Scranton with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Cristina has a passion for both Orthopedics and Pediatrics and has experience working with patients of all ages ranging from toddlers to adolescents to geriatric individuals. As a former gymnast for several years, Cristina has knowledge to facilitate rehabilitation for not only gymnasts and female athletes but athletes of all sports and ages. Throughout her time in Scranton, Cristina worked as a strength and conditioning trainer for the University's Division III athletic teams, where she was responsible for creating exercise programs and instructing proper lifting techniques for each athlete in order to further excel in their competitive sport and prevent injury. This influenced her drive to study for and soon become a CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning specialist). This experience has given her extensive practice to individualize patient programs tailored to specific goals, which is an essential component of physical therapy. She is Certified in Blood Flow Restriction Therapy through Owens Recovery Science. She also has been trained in Myofascial Decompression techniques and incorporates cupping into her manual therapy treatments, which has been proven to restore blood flow, mobility, decrease tissue tension and improve patient outcomes. She truly loves that due to her profession, she is able to spend her days getting patients stronger, healthier and leading happier lives. Cristina is a firm believer that movement is medicine and puts it into practice every day by living an active, plentiful lifestyle.

Dr. Radha Patel

Dr. Radha Patel joined the Joint Motion Physical Therapy staff in January of 2022. She is an experienced and licensed physical therapist who received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Vermont in 2019. Radha is passionate about meeting the needs of the patient through an emphasis on creating a personalized therapeutic exercise program and utilizing manual therapy geared towards myofascial release and joint mobilizations. Dr. Radha Patel joined the Joint Motion Physical Therapy staff in January of 2022. She is an experienced and licensed physical therapist who received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Vermont in 2019. Radha is passionate about meeting the needs of the patient through an emphasis on creating a personalized therapeutic exercise program and utilizing manual therapy geared towards myofascial release and joint mobilizations. During her schooling, Radha was able to travel to New Zealand to improve her joint mobilization techniques by learning from skilled professors at the University of Auckland. Radha continuously works on advancing her skills with continuing education courses and peer to peer interaction. She is determined to continue to advance her skill set and has become a certified ORS Personalized Blood Flow Restriction Provider (PBFR, 2022) and obtained her certification in Lymphedema Management (CLT, 2023). Her next goal is to obtain her certification in Manual Therapy (MTC). Radha's experience and caring personality help her to connect, work with her patients and better help them reach their maximum abilities.

Triston S. Glynos

Triston graduated from the accelerated physical therapy program at Boston University's Sargent College with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2001. In 2016, after 15 years in clinical practice, Dr. Glynos returned to school and completed his Doctoral education at the EIM Institute for Health Professions, where he received an award for outstanding student contributions. Triston has focused his career primarily on outpatient orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, yet broadened his expertise by working in the acute and home-care settings. He founded Joint Motion, LLC, in 2006 and opened his doors to the public in February 2007. In 2008, Triston earned his board certification as a Specialist in Orthopedics from the state of NJ and the American Physical Therapy Association. With less than 2% of the state's physical therapists obtaining this certification, Triston joins an elite group of clinicians distinguished by their exceptional knowledge and experience treating patients with orthopedic conditions. Obtaining this additional certification demonstrates Triston's commitment to helping his patients best resolve their physical limitations using the most current medical information and techniques available. Triston is a former high school wrestler, football player and collegiate Rugby player and currently coaches at the youth level with the Watchung Hills Wrestling Association. His knowledge, passion and expertise with these athletes allow him to better individualize his rehabilitation programs and provide injured athletes a better preparedness for return to the rigors of these physical sports. In his spacious Scotch Plains practice, Triston uses advanced manual therapeutic techniques, a scientifically based therapeutic exercise approach, and his caring personality to provide treatments for most musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. He is a long-time member of the American Physical Therapy Association and also contributes to the local community by providing informative lectures on numerous topics, such as Fall Prevention, Sports Injury Prevention, Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis treatment, and Low Back Pain. Triston is native to the area being born in North Plainfield and raised in Berkeley Heights. He lives locally with his wife, Tara, and their three children.
