Joseph M. Kecskemethy

Mr. Kecskemethy received his Law Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a Master's Degree from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. He was admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania courts, and the Federal District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, in 1989. Mr. Kecskemethy has served individuals and families throughout Western Pennsylvania, based primarily in Butler and Northern Allegheny County. Mr. Kecskemethy's practice focuses on litigation in the areas of family law, criminal defense and probate contests; providing experienced counsel to individuals in these most personal and difficult disputes. In divorce, child custody, child support and probate matters, Mr. Kecskemethy seeks to avoid destructive argument in court whenever possible, through skilled negotiation toward compromise. In the area of criminal defense and in family matters, when the intervention of the courts is needed, Mr. Kecskemethy's extensive courtroom experience informs his aggressive trial strategy. Mr. Kecskemethy is a member of the Butler and Allegheny County, and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, and has lectured regularly for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute in the area of family law, particularly in Western Pennsylvania. He was also a founding member of the Butler County Criminal Justice Advisory Board.

Norman D. Jaffe

A native of Butler, Mr. Jaffe graduated the Dickinson School of Law, and served as legal counsel to individuals and businesses in the Butler County community for over sixty years. In the Spring of 2017, Mr. Jaffe retired from the practice, leaving a wealth of knowledge with his partner and associates. His practice focused primarily in divorce, child custody and support, and he was known and respected as an unmatched family court litigator in Butler, Allegheny and contiguous counties. Mr. Jaffe's years of experience both in courtroom litigation and in negotiated resolution of family disputes, anchors the reputation of the firm in Pennsylvania family law. Mr. Jaffe also counseled clients and his co-counsel in all matters of estate planning and will preparation, as well as preparation of powers of attorney, and in the probate and administration of decedent's estates. The firm continues in the practice of probate administration and litigation with a view to Mr. Jaffe's care and attention to detail, simplifying the process for clients, from opening an estate through Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax compliance to final accounting. Mr. Jaffe was an active member of the Butler, Allegheny and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and was admitted to practice before the courts of common pleas of Pennsylvania, all Pennsylvania appellate courts, and the Federal Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
