JURIS PLACEMENTS - Key Persons

Mitch Satalof - CEO

Job Titles:
  • CEO
If nothing else, Mitch Satalof, our CEO, must have a keen sense of timing. After over 20 years in the music industry, Mitch Satalof, Juris Placements' CEO, transitioned to recruiting when he sensed the end of the brick-and-mortar music industry due to the emergence of MP3 and the eventual "mothership to end user" delivery system. He moved into recruiting in Telecom, but he became concerned with that industry's stability and decided in 2000 to build his own agency recruiting and placing attorneys. After a number of years recruiting in all practice areas, Mitch's background in negotiating agreements in the music business was likely the fulcrum for his attraction to the world of Intellectual Property, which is where he spends the majority of his time recruiting in all aspects of IP - placing groups, partners and counsel as well as associates and patent agents. Mitch now serves as President of NALSC (National Association of Legal Search Consultants) after terms as Membership Chair and helming the Nominations Committee. When he is not recruiting, Mitch spends much of his time on family and playing and organizing tennis matches. He is the former Membership Chair at Germantown Cricket Club in Philadelphia where he served on the Board of Governors for many years and attempts to play tennis three to four times per week year-round. He has also served as Co-Chair of Ace for a Cure, a fundraising event that occurs in June each year benefiting the JDRF - dedicated to turning Type one Diabetes into Type none. For a more in depth look at Mitch, the following interview ran on Law Crossing in 2013 or you can garner more bio info in the Member Spotlight feature in the NALSC Fall 2015 Newsletter. He also can be found on many of NALSC's podcasts as well as featured on the Chambers Associate podcast (EP 14).
