Allyson Wyand

A native of midcoast Maine, Allyson returned to pursue her design career after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology. In prior roles, Allyson contributed to the design of healthcare, education, and commercial facilities from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon. At Knickerbocker Group, she works directly with our clients-enthusiastically immersed in the details, she turns their vision into beautifully designed spaces. Inspired by color and texture, Allyson loves incorporating new and unexpected elements into her designs. Allyson relishes in the beauty of life in Maine, from its beautiful beaches, wandering through downtown Portland, to enjoying good food with friends. She is also an active Board Member of the Maine Interior Design Association (MIDA) where she enjoys collaborating with fellow design professionals.

Andrea Hogdgon

Andrea oversees the procurement of materials for Knickerbocker Group's prefabrication projects. Through building strong relationships with vendors, Andrea works diligently to ensure adequate inventory, negotiate fair pricing, and monitor all materials. Having held multiple procurement roles for local construction firms, Andrea possesses deep product knowledge. At Knickerbocker Group, she has also worked as a carpenter and project manager, both of which have given her first-hand experience on construction sites. Most recently, Andrea worked for the Town of Boothbay as the Assistant Code Enforcement Officer, providing her a unique vantage point to better understand local ordinances. Born and raised in Boothbay, Andrea calls the peninsula home to this day, where she lives with her husband and their two children (who are away at college). Together they enjoy hiking, gardening, and partaking in many of Maine's outdoor activities. To give back to the Boothbay region, Andrea volunteers with the Boothbay Fire Department, an endeavor that she finds immensely rewarding.

Angela Ballard

Angela Percival

Prior to joining Knickerbocker Group, Angela owned her own bookkeeping business where she empowered small business owners to focus on their actual business by taking over day-to-day bookkeeping operations. Solutions focused, she makes the billing process seamless, and most importantly-timely, for all clients. Angela is also a Notary Public, which beyond being beneficial for client/corporate work, she has also used to officiate numerous weddings! Angela is happiest when spending time with her family, attending hockey games, and partaking in her other passion, music.

Ashley Lowe

In 2022, to be closer to her New England family, Ashely took a leap of faith and moved to a state she had never visited… Maine. Graduating Magna Cum Laude with a focus in painting and photography she has a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Brevard College, paired with a Master of Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon. Ashley melds her creative sense for color, texture, and craftsmanship as a thread throughout her design approach. At Knickerbocker Group, she applies her expertise developing design plans, product specifications, and construction details across projects. Ashley is versed in preparing furniture layouts and selecting a project's ideal fixtures and finishes, while translating client dreams and desires into functional spaces. As an artist, and one who cherishes hands-on processes, Ashley most enjoys building relationships with our artisans and craftspeople, sourcing original art, materials, fabrics, and furnishings. Ashley relishes in time spent being creative. She is a flower admirer, too, and has worked as a freelance floral designer. During the colder months and her personal time, Ashley creates mixed media works on canvas and paper collages, each piece demonstrating her love for texture, color, and found materials. When not creating, she explores local trails and maintains her passion for long distance running. Ashley lives in Buxton, in a home she calls her "treehouse", with glimpses of wildlife, surrounded by forest and owls.

Bill Burge

After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Husson College in 1989, Bill spent the early parts of his career honing his skills in both sales and management of retail businesses. He moved to Boothbay in 1997 where he began his career in retail lumber as a salesman for Poole Brothers Lumber. In January of 2000, Bill joined Boothbay Home Builders, now known as Knickerbocker Group, as a project manager. He spent 5 years managing high-end residential projects until an opportunity to rejoin the retail lumber business was presented to him in 2005. After 14 years acquiring in-depth knowledge of the business, sales, distribution, and procurement side of the construction industry, Bill rejoined Knickerbocker Group. He has provided residential project management for projects throughout the Boothbay region and contributed to the creation of Knickerbocker Group's preconstruction services team. When the occasion arose to help guide the launch of our prefabrication facility, Bill was eager to take the helm and put his years of industry experience in construction wholesale to good use. Bill was especially drawn to this initiative having just watched his son leave the state to find more affordable housing opportunities. Seeing firsthand the difficulties of finding housing for people of all age groups and income levels inspired him to take a proactive role in solving the problem. In his spare time, Bill loves playing hockey in men's league, golfing with friends and family, but most importantly spending time with his family whenever he can.

Bob Francisco

Bob Francisco joined Knickerbocker Group after working as a consultant to the company on a large commercial project that spanned over two years. He graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a degree in interior design. He previously worked in the hospitality design field, specializing in club design. Several of his projects have won American Society of Interior Designers awards at both a state and national level. Bob's passion and focus at Knickerbocker Group is interior architecture and design, with special emphasis on millwork design and functional space planning. He enjoys being able to work in such a spectacular area of the country, and his projects strongly reflect a sense of place. In addition to design, Bob's other pursuit is oil painting. Painting the landscape of Maine is as much a passion as architecture. When not working, Bob is typically found exploring the countryside and coastline, searching for inspiration. Bob resides in an 1862 sea captain's home in the village of East Boothbay with his dogs Bella and Jenny. Brad Betts

Brandon Zirzow

After living in the mountains of Montana and along the shores of Lake Michigan, Brandon relocated to Maine for its perfect blend of mountains and water. His design experience includes numerous residential projects throughout the country, including modern mountain ski homes as well as sustainably designed high-performance residences. Brandon is passionate about the unique challenges and opportunities that come with each new project, and he is committed to designing spaces that are thoughtful, beautiful and sustainable. Brandon holds a Bachelor's of Architecture from Syracuse University and is a certified LEED Green Associate. An outdoor enthusiast, he and his partner take advantage of Maine in all seasons. From hiking and camping to skiing and snowshoeing, they are often outdoors with their two dogs in tow. When not adventuring, they tackle house renovations or yard projects.

Brent James

Brent joined Knickerbocker Group because he wanted to be a part of a team that is passionate and committed to integrating the art and craft of design and construction. Growing up in Maine, Brent moved to Boston to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture Degree at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Immediately after college Brent joined an award-winning Boston architecture firm and worked for almost a decade designing a variety of projects throughout Massachusetts including a 290,000 square foot mixed-use clinical center for Dana-Farber. Brent is a LEED accredited professional. He has worked on a number of LEED-certified building projects that have included integrating a high thermal performance envelope, rainwater harvesting for irrigation, the use of recycled and VOC-free materials, sunshades, and more. In his free time, Brent enjoys exploring the Maine outdoors and spending time with his family. Brent also plays guitar and is always trying to learn difficult solos from his favorite guitarists. He has been skateboarding for almost 25 years and has produced designs for Maine public skate parks. In addition, Brent is a physical culture enthusiast with an interest in nutritional sciences.

Brianna Beebe

Brianna couples artistic visualization with technical know-how and brings acute attention to detail to every job. In her role at Knickerbocker Group, she supports project managers by obtaining permitting, tracking deadlines, and maintaining project documentation. Her previous experience includes building systems coordination and drafting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for hotels, pharmaceutical facilities, and office buildings in downtown Portland and throughout the state. She holds a bachelor's of fine arts in digital media from Maine College of Art and an associate's in architectural and engineering design from Southern Maine Community College. She and her partner live in Bowdoinham, where she enjoys painting, sculpting, and gardening and is currently building a chicken coop.

Cameron Hettich

A recent graduate of Northeastern University, Cameron collaborates with our Architecture team to conceptualize and produce residential designs. A detail-orientated, creative thinker, Cameron is proactive in finding ways to overcome challenges and incorporate smart solutions into her designs. Before joining Knickerbocker Group full-time, Cameron interned with the firm and took part in some of the early architectural renderings of our Prefab Pods. Upon her graduation, our team was thrilled to welcome her back to Maine and the Knickerbocker Group team. In addition to her experience in residential design, Cameron has a passion for historical architecture and was a research assistant on a project to help preserve Echo Bridge in Newton, Massachusetts. She has also worked on designs for breweries and museums.

Cheri Murray

As Resource Studio Coordinator at COVE by Knickerbocker Group in Boothbay, Cheri greets clients, schedules design appointments, and manages the studio. With her executive administrative background and her love of working as a part of a team, she brings flexibility and resourcefulness to her position. As a lifelong equestrian, Cheri has trained and competed with horses in both English and Western disciplines. She also enjoys boating and gardening. A Cape Elizabeth native, she and her family are currently building a home on the Damariscotta River in Bristol.

Chris Field

Chris first joined Knickerbocker Group in 2008 as a painter, and has worked over the years to develop his skills in general construction and fine carpentry. After a brief break from the company, he returns as a Field Team Leader, overseeing on-site efforts on a number of our Midcoast projects. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.

Claire Thibeault

Claire joined Knickerbocker Group full-time after interning with the company for two summers. A graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology's Bachelor and Master Architecture programs, Claire's excitement for design is rooted in her love of art, nature, and "making." She believes architecture is the perfect balance between problem-solving and creativity, job and passion, utility and beauty. Claire strives to create functional spaces which excite and reflect how we live, work and play, while connecting us back to the natural landscapes that surround us. With the exception of time spent in Boston throughout college, Claire has spent her entire life in Maine, growing up in Cumberland and spending almost every weekend at her family's camp on Moosehead Lake-fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and exploring Maine's beauty. Other interests include painting, furniture restoration, traveling, and experiencing new cultures. Claire is currently beginning a new adventure, designing and slowly building her dream farmhouse and homestead on 50 acres in Durham, ME, with her husband, son, and future farm critters.

Daniel Pellerin

Holding a bachelor's in construction management technology from the University of Maine, Daniel Pellerin focuses on permit procurement, estimating, contract management, and project scheduling. He loves making a client's dream come to life, bringing with him a positive attitude to produce top-quality results on the most demanding of tasks. Daniel has over a decade of construction experience, ranging from high-end residential kitchens with custom cabinetry to long-span bridge construction and bridge rehabilitation on projects up and down the east coast. A fourth-generation Mainer, he enjoys cross-country and downhill skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and vegetable gardening. He and his partner currently live in South Portland with their dog, although he is currently on the hunt for his next project house.

Danielle Betts - President

Danielle guides Knickerbocker Group's strategic and operational practices, including architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design and how they interrelate to construction services and property management. She has worked in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry for over 25 years in both real estate and development, and as a licensed professional engineer and land use specialist. Danielle thrives on helping employees grow and seeks to recognize an individual's unique skills and passions. She guides team members to be inspired and thoughtful leaders who visualize and initiate change, which contributes to their professional development and growth as well as to the company's. She works one-on-one with Knickerbocker Group's practice leaders and managers to help them lead their teams. Her mantra, "Train your own replacement," encourages employees to think forward to the next chapter of their professional career in addition to providing mentorship. Danielle and her husband, artist Brad Betts, built their own home in East Boothbay where they raised their two boys. In 2017, the family launched Down East Gallery in Edgecomb, Maine, a creative space for art, music, and community events.

Darci Jackson

Originally from New Hampshire, Darci has lived in Maine for over thirty years. The youngest of three girls, her mother taught her at a young age to work hard for what she wanted. After the loss of Darci's mother, she made the life-changing decision to relocate to the Mid Coast, allowing her to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Paired with Darci's move, she transitioned from the company she had worked with for fifteen years, shifting her procurement career to the defense sector. Darci joins Knickerbocker Group with over twenty years of procurement experience and a passion for interior design. She currently resides in West Bath with her husband Randy. Darci enjoys re-purposing flea market and yard sale finds, boating on the nearby lakes and hiking throughout Maine.

Derek Chapman

Derek was born and raised in Midcoast Maine. After graduating from Maine Maritime Academy with a degree in Power Engineering, he spent 8 years working primarily out of the country as an engineer for an offshore ultra-deep water oil drilling company. While he enjoyed his time in Brazil, Ireland, Holland, Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico, he decided to leave the oil field to start a family back in Maine. Following his passion for building, he started his own residential construction company in 2005, building high end homes in the Midcoast region. With his excellent communication skills, pride in quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, he quickly became a preferred subcontractor to Knickerbocker Group, eventually joining the company full-time as a Project Manager. Derek spends all of his free time with his wife, Eleanor, and their children, Samuel, Sullivan, Benjamin and Cecilia. Derek Libby

At age 16, Derek began his career as a carpenter with frame to finish crews here in Maine. He has extensive wood working experience including cabinet shops in Fairfield County, Connecticut and furniture studios in Manhattan, New York. During the three years prior to joining the Knickerbocker team as a site manager, Derek worked as a subcontractor on a number of our projects. When he's not on a job site he spends his time working around his small farm in New Gloucester with his wife and three boys.

Dianna Smith

With a diverse background including marine electricity, welding and executive administration, Dianna came to Knickerbocker Group with a unique skill set. Having begun her KG career as Founder Steve Malcom's assistant, she now plays a crucial role in supporting the needs of our Project Managers by obtaining permitting, tracking deadlines, and maintaining documentation. Dianna possesses exceptional organization and communication skills which allow her to seamlessly juggle competing demands. For Dianna, the team at Knickerbocker Group has become akin to a second family as she feels endlessly encouraged to pursue both her personal and professional goals. A native of Maryland, Dianna now calls Edgecomb home with her husband and son, Evan. They enjoy spending time outdoors with their rescue Lab, Callie. A movement enthusiast, Dianna is passionate about running, baking and photography.

Eben Goodwin

Born and raised in Boothbay, Eben earned a BA in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science from the University of Maine, Farmington. Past roles in data services and banking have allowed Eben to develop a clear communication style and commitment to accuracy. Being attuned to the details comes naturally to Eben. At Knickerbocker Group, he works with the finance team to gather and input data in a timely and calculated manner, allowing company projects to progress seamlessly. Outside of work, Eben is a baseball fan and a devoted follower of the Baltimore Orioles. An avid reader, he also has a large collection of comic books and manga.

Ed Wolfe

Although new to the Knickerbocker Group team, Ed is excited to get rolling, coordinating with clients and project teams to make magic happen. Ed brings a deep passion for building to his work, regardless of the setting/type of construction-there is always an invigorating potential for good craft to happen. He is excited to share in the collective knowledge and experience base of the KG team to push the envelope of comfort and architectural detail in our builds. Ed has been involved in the residential building industry for 8 years, starting with summer carpentry jobs in high school and college. He bolstered this experience with the same number of years pursuing studio woodworking as a hobby. In the meantime, Ed studied Construction Management at the University of Maine, and most recently has been furthering his building science education by becoming a tradesperson certified by the Passive Haus Institute.

Elena Duralde

Emma FitzGerald

Emma graduated from the Art Institute, San Francisco, with a B.S. in graphic design. She returned to her home state to pursue her career and raise her children in Maine. For a number of years, Emma ran her own freelance design business, then went on to work for a publishing and media company in Southern Maine as an Art Director. She joined Knickerbocker Group to continue doing what she loves, marketing and design. Emma finds the collaborative team at KG is a wealth of inspiration, providing her with a lively, creative environment on a day-to-day basis. Emma is passionate about all things having to do with typography, illustration, and design. From art, and gardening, to color aesthetics and the spaces of her home-she values the environment, both interior, and exterior. She adores the hours spent with her three children, her husband, and their dogs; exploring, creating, and playing in the vastness of her native backyard. Maine encompasses everything she considers home.

Eric Wittman

With nearly 20 years of experience, Eric has worked on an array of projects from single-family homes and small retail projects to entire schools and hospitals in Kansas, California and Maine. A thoughtful listener, he appreciates collaborating with clients to understand their wants and seeks to provide creative solutions. An avid sketcher, Eric appreciates that his role allows him to partner with clients throughout the entire design process-from initial sketches to finalized construction documents. Eric is a dedicated member of the design community, he previously served as editor of a state-wide architecture magazine, was the AIA President in Wichita, Kansas, and was on the Architalx Board in Portland, Maine for many years. Eric and his young family are happy to call Maine home and enjoy adventuring throughout the state together.

Greg Norton

Gregory Buzzell

Greg has pursued architectural design to bring positive change to people's lives. He graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. For three and a half years, Greg led the design team at a design/build firm, specializing in prefabrication and implementation of building science. Greg's strong technical aptitude makes him well-suited to architectural problem-solving, and he is driven to deliver a home that will maximize energy efficiency and occupant comfort. Greg and his wife Kathy enjoy exploring New England, camping, hiking, and spending time with their children, family, and friends. Greg has been an avid volunteer throughout his life and was an Avionics Mechanic with the Maine Army National Guard. Along with building science and architecture, Greg likes to keep up-to-date on scientific discoveries, renewable energy, and transportation technologies. In his spare time, you can often find him out on his road cycle in the warmer months and snowboarding in the winter.

Hillary Cail

As a Client Services Coordinator, Hillary works with the Knickerbocker Property Management team to drive internal efficiencies and provide a seamless client experience. Whether working behind the scenes or with clients, Hillary is reliable, communicative, and always eager to assist with any task small or large. In her previous role, Hillary worked as an Executive Assistant for a local family and their multiple Maine properties where she assisted in implementing systems and procedures that enhanced daily operations. She leverages many of these skills in her current role where she is often coordinating many requests at once.

Jaime Kershner

Born and raised in Brunswick, Jaime went away for college but eventually found her way back in beautiful Maine. With an extensive background in hospitality, Jaime has expertise juggling multiple projects and needs simultaneously. At Knickerbocker Group, Jamie is the friendly face greeting clients and employees at our Boothbay location. Assisting with phone calls, calendars and office support, Jaime enjoys providing assistance to an array of teams. Her strong attention to details and exceptional customer service skills make her a welcome addition. Outside of work, Jaime can often be found spending time outdoors with her rescue pup, Sadie. She also enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym, partaking in a weekly game night with friends, and traveling.

Jared Prentiss

Jared, originally from a rural farming community near Ithaca, New York, found his way to Maine through his lifelong fascination with wooden boats. As luck would have it, he met his wife while visiting the Boat Builders show in Portland. He now lives with his wife Lisa, daughter Ruby, and their boat in Falmouth. Jared and his family are explorers of all Maine has to offer on land and sea. Jared's interests outside work are abundant-hunting, skiing, sculpting objects in wood and metal, and building vintage choppers, to name a few. Most of all, Jared enjoys creating beautiful, fine detailed spaces alongside our highly skilled team. A Knickerbocker home consists of problem solving and answering with logical, creative solutions-this is the challenge we succeed at on a daily basis, throughout the entire process and project build. The results are evident in the finest homes built in New England. Jared has found his perfect job working alongside the ocean with Maine's best crafts people.

Jason Shute

Jason joins Knickerbocker Group as part of our prefabrication team. With over twenty years of experience, Jason is a skilled carpenter with versatile expertise including millwork, flooring, and construction equipment operation. A natural leader and team player, Jason is meticulous in his work and always puts safety first. He undoubtedly ensures our prefabricated living spaces are executed with Knickerbocker Group's standard of high-level quality control and care, thoughtfully crafted at our indoor warehouse facility. New to Maine, Jason recently relocated and enjoys exploring his new home. Outside of work, he hikes and is a passionate musician and skilled luthier.

Jason Sorensen

Holding a bachelor's in sculpture from Rutgers University and having worked for two decades in carpentry and construction, Jason has both a creative eye and building expertise. His commercial roster of projects include university, healthcare, and performing arts buildings in addition to having worked on dozens of residential custom homes, including several in remote areas. As a job foreman, he directs project crew to adhere to safety, quality, and production standards, conveying plans, specifications, and drawings in order to ensure that his projects always exceed client expectations. In addition, Jason has his drone pilot license to provide clients with aerial views of project progress. He lives in Auburn with his wife and son and enjoys gardening, spending time at the lake, and baking sourdough bread, which he has done nearly every week for the last seven years.

Jay Moravitz

Originally from Northern Virginia, Jay graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor's in building construction prior to relocating to New England. Jay has several years' experience managing on-site operations for large-scale commercial projects in the region, including a 14-story new hotel in South Boston, a 300,000 square-foot athletic center for a Maine college, as well as an occupied renovation for a Portland hospital. From this commercial experience, he brings strong attention to detail to the residential world, where he aims to work alongside Maine's best craftspeople to deliver quality projects to our clients. Jay lives in Freeport with his girlfriend, Ellen, and enjoys hiking, fishing, boating, camping, and skiing in his free time.

Jeff Colvard

Jeff has vast experience managing construction sites for residential homes as well as commercial projects throughout New Hampshire and Maine. Jeff excels at managing the day-to-day site operations, including scheduling subcontractors, ordering materials, maintaining a safe work environment and making sure the quality for which Knickerbocker Group is known is paramount. For clients working with Jeff, they can expect a clear communicator who values honesty, integrity and a commitment to providing the highest quality work. Jeff enjoys fishing, softball, grilling and spending time with his family.

Jesse Galkowski

Jesse holds a bachelor's from Boston University. Prior to his position as a carpenter, he worked in hospitality as well as video and music production. He enjoys working with new people, and he brings with him a positive attitude that facilitates an upbeat environment and encourages excellent communication. He particularly loves executing traditional architectural and building techniques and mixing classic New England style with modern design. In his free time, he enjoys writing and recording music, spending time outdoors, playing with his two dogs, and gardening. He and his partner, a painter, live in Biddeford.

Jessica Inzerillo

Jess has a dynamic background that includes roles in production, advertising and marketing for publications such as Maine Homes by Down East and Maine Home+ Design. A creative by nature, Jess has also owned her own business making handbags out of vintage fabrics as well as led marketing efforts for a local art gallery. Combining her innovative spirit, outgoing personality, and keen attention to detail, Jess works as a Client Services Coordinator, where she fields new client inquiries and supports business development. Jess also plays a role in our SCEN (sponsorship, civic engagement, and networking) Committee to increase Knickerbocker Group's outreach in the communities where we live and work.

Shortly after completing her Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and working briefly in the industry, Jessica found her true passion in the construction world while working for a general contractor. She returned to Wentworth Institute of Technology to earn her Master's Degree in Construction Management and worked several years in Boston. It wasn't long before she and her husband grew tired of the city and decided to move to Maine, where they could continue to do the work they love, while enjoying all Maine has to offer. Initially, Jessica worked for a commercial general contractor, and then switched to high-end residential work, where she felt a more personal connection to her projects. In her free time, Jessica and her husband enjoy renovating their house in the woods and spending time outdoors gardening, fishing, hiking, biking, and chasing their two sons and Goldendoodle around.
