David M. Schweppe

David Schweppe is a Shelby, North Carolina native. He attended Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia where he earned athletic honors as a varsity tennis player. David obtained is law degree at Campbell University School of Law. During law school, David interned with a leading criminal defense attorney in Raleigh, North Carolina. After graduation, David broadened his legal experience by joining a large Raleigh firm where he concentrated on commercial litigation. In 1999, David returned to Shelby and joined The Schweppe Law Firm, P.A where he expanded the practice to include criminal defense, personal injury, and business litigation. During his career, David has made court appearances in 60 of North Carolina's 100 counties. David is married, has 3 children, and enjoys golf, tennis, snow skiing and water sports.

John V. Schweppe, III

John V. Schweppe, Jr. has been a resident of Shelby, North Carolina since 1959. He is a graduate Washington and Jefferson College and earned his law degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After service in the Army Schweppe returned to Shelby in 1973 and joined a local firm which traced it roots to the firm established by Gov. Clyde Hoey in the 1920's. In 1983 Mr. Schweppe formed his own practice and was a sole practitioner until 1999 when his son, David, joined the firm. His practice is focused on Real Estate, Business Law and Estate Planning. Mr. Schweppe is married with three sons and enjoys his career, family and boating. John was born and raised in Shelby, NC. In 1997, John graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Upon graduation, John and his wife Elizabeth moved to Raleigh, North Carolina. While in Raleigh, John worked for First Union Mortgage Corporation managing a $90 million loan portfolio. John received his law degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2004. After graduating from law school, John returned to Shelby and joined The Schweppe Law Firm. John and Elizabeth have two children, Daniel and Anna. John concentrates his practice on Civil Litigation, Real Estate Matters, Estate Administration, Bankruptcy, and Municipal Law.
