Ledge Top Farm, fondly called "The Ledge," is committed to principled growing methods. Although we are not state certified, all of our produce is grown organically. You can rest assured it is raised in a chemical-free, sustainable way. We have been growing fruits and vegetables without chemicals or pesticides for decades... Ledge Top Farm is committed to sustainable agricultural practices and grows fruits and produce to organic standards. Sustainable practices include preserving the structure of soil by reduced tilling or no tilling, using compost as the main additional plant nutrient, and introducing beneficial species whenever possible... We use no artificial chemicals, herbicides, or pesticides on our produce. Instead, we use beneficial organisms such as microbes, and insects (ex. ladybugs) to control any pest. Our organic practices have been in place for so long that many pest problems are taken care of by natural predation.
