Andrea Whitaker

Andrea grew up in Bucks County, PA. In 2004 she and her husband moved to the Lehighton area where they currently reside. Andrea attended the LCCC Veterinary Technician program and earned her license as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Andrea spent over seven years in general practice before joining PADS/LVVD in 2022. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time outdoors. Andrea and her husband currently share their home with 4 cats.

Dr. Brian Palmeiro

Dr. Brian Palmeiro was born in Long Island, NY and obtained a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University. He attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Palmeiro completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery and a residency in dermatology and allergy at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Palmeiro has published numerous research articles and often lectures to veterinarians and veterinary students about veterinary dermatology and allergies. His interests include allergic skin disease, ear disease, immune mediated skin disease, and palynology (the study of pollens). He is a consultant on the Veterinary Information Network. Dr. Palmeiro is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology and a member of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Prior to starting Lehigh Valley Veterinary Dermatology in 2010, Dr. Palmeiro practiced in the Philadelphia area, NJ, and Delaware, and also previously saw cases at Hope Veterinary Specialists in Malvern for over 12 years. Dr. Palmeiro also developed and oversees a residency training program at LVVD. Dr. Palmeiro lives in Allentown with his wife, son, daughter, 3 dogs, and numerous fish.

Dr. Christopher Lopresto

Dr. Christopher Lopresto is a native of western Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and earned his VMD degree in 2008. After completing a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery, he started working in general practice in the Philadelphia area and then in York. He joined LVVD in 2020 to further his training in veterinary dermatology first as dermatology intern and now as a dermatology resident. In addition to dermatology, Dr. Lopresto has a special interest in exotic and aquatic animal medicine. He lives in Allentown with his wife, daughter, and one dog.

Elisha McCready

Elisha grew up in Macungie, PA. She graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and later received a degree in veterinary technology from LCCC. Prior to joining PADS/LVVD in 2021, she was veterinary technician in general practice for over 6 years. She lives in Emmaus with a chinchilla, two guinea pigs, and a crazy cat.

Lauren Kelchner

Lauren was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania and lived the majority of her life in the Poconos. She graduated in 2005 from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Prior to coming to LVVD, Lauren spent 8 years as an Internal Medicine Veterinary Nurse at Valley Central Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center, as well as 3 years as an emergency and critical care nurse. She started at PADS/LVVD in March, 2016. Lauren currently lives in Bethlehem, PA with her husband, guinea pigs and two Boston terriers. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports and working out, crafting, playing with her dogs, arm wrestling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Lisa Weigel

Lisa is from Allentown, PA. She graduated vet tech school from LCCC and became a certified vet technician in 2005. She worked in general practice for over 12 years before joining PADS/LVVD in early 2017. Lisa lives in Allentown with her husband and has twin boys and one daughter (who was way easier raise than twin boys). We would love to to tell you how many cats she has, but even she has lost count.

Stephanie Shay

Stephanie grew up in Berks County on her family's farm. She attended the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh and graduated with an Associates degree in specialized veterinary technology in 2008. Stephanie has practiced over the last 15 years in general, emergency and specialized veterinary medicine. After a few years away and starting a family, she returned to LVVD in May 2022. Stephanie resides in the Bangor area with her husband, daughter, a crazy chocolate lab, a wimpy beagle, and a naughty ginger cat!

Valerie Green

Valerie Green grew up in Portland, Pennsylvania. She obtained a Bachelor in Science in Biology and a degree in Education from Muhlenberg College. After graduation, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she earned a degree in veterinary nursing. Valerie worked in general and emergency practice for over 15 years before joining PADS/LVVD in August 2010. She is a member of the Lehigh Valley Veterinary Medical Association and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, scrap booking, Disney, and is an avid Phillies and Green Bay Packers fan. Valerie lives in Allentown with her husband and daughter. They share their home with two cats, one dog, and many fish.
