LEGACY

Since the Legacy promise was made by a soldier to his dying mate in the trenches of WW1 to "look after the missus and the kids", Legacy has supported Australian Defence Force families in times of great need... Legacy has a long and rich history in Australia. In 1923 the first Remembrance Club was founded in Hobart by General Sir John Gellibrand. Another returning soldier, Stanley Savige, established a similar club in Melbourne... Legacy aims to provide comfort and security to support older widows and help them live full and happy lives despite their loss.
