ANGEL F. CASTILLO

Angel F. Castillo graduated from Stanford Law School in 1989. He received his B.A. degree in Political Science from Stanford University in 1986. Prior to joining Levy, Small & Lallas, Mr. Castillo was with Sidley & Austin.

CHARLES M. LEVY

Charles M. Levy graduated from Northwestern University School of Law in 1961, having served as associate editor of the Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1959, with a Bachelor of Science degree. Following a one-year position as a Teaching Associate at UCLA Law School, Mr. Levy joined the firm of Kaplan, Livingston, Goodwin, Berkowitz & Selvin in Beverly Hills. In 1968, he became a partner in that firm and remained there until April 14, 1975, when he formed Levy, Small & Lallas. He has served on a California Continuation Education of the Bar panel analyzing developments under the Uniform Commercial Code; and he is a past member of the Board of Governors of the Financial Lawyers Conference, a group of attorneys who specialize in bankruptcy and secured creditor transactions. He is a co-author of the Checklist For Secured Commercial Loans.

Christian Jordan

Christian Jordan graduated from USC Law School in 2004, where he was Senior Editor of the Review of Law & Women's Studies with a published Note. He received his B.A. from the College of William & Mary in 1998, after transferring with honors from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to joining Levy Small & Lallas, Mr. Jordan served as a judicial law clerk for the Superior Court of Los Angeles, then litigated and performed Foreign Corrupt Practices Act defense at the Century City office of international firm Steptoe & Johnson LLP, and later practiced at the Century City office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP. Mr. Jordan is admitted in both California and Texas.

GEORGE A. FURST

George Furst graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1972. He earned a B.A. degree in political science magna cum laude from UCLA in 1967, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.A. degree in international relations from Yale University in 1969. He specializes in real estate transactional matters, including without limitation buying, selling, exchanging, leasing and financing of commercial, industrial and multi-family projects. Prior to becoming of counsel to Levy, Small & Lallas, he was a partner at and of counsel to Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP for 26 years.

LEO D. PLOTKIN

LEO D. PLOTKIN graduated from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley in 1981. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1978, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to joining Levy, Small & Lallas, Mr. Plotkin was a law clerk for the Honorable Lawrence T. Lydick, United States District Judge. Since joining Levy, Small & Lallas in 1983, he has developed his practice in the areas of litigation and bankruptcy, with an emphasis on the representation of secured creditors (including asset-based lenders and technology lenders) in workouts, litigation and bankruptcy. Mr. Plotkin also has developed a litigation practice representing syndicators of low-income housing tax credit projects.

Mark D. Hurwitz

Mark D. Hurwitz graduated from UCLA Law School in 1990, where he was a member of the UCLA Law Review. He received his B.S. degree summa cum laude from the University of California Los Angeles, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He served as a judicial extern to United States District Court Judge Harry L. Hupp in Los Angeles in fall 1989. Prior to joining Levy, Small & Lallas, Mr. Hurwitz was with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

STEVEN G. SMALL

Steven G. Small graduated from Harvard Law School, cum laude, in 1972. He received his B.A. degree from Harvard College, cum laude, in 1969. Prior to joining Levy, Small & Lallas in September, 1976, he was with the law firm of Mitchell, Silberberg & Knupp. He is the author of "Coming Changes in Division 9 of the California Commercial Code," 51 Los Angeles Bar Journal 272, 1975, and also author and editor of Checklist for Secured Commercial Loans published by the Financial Lawyers Conference, 1990 Edition and 1994 Edition. He is a past President and a member of the Board of Governors of the Financial Lawyers Conference, a member of the American Bar Association Committee on Commercial Financial Services (Subcommittees on Acquisition Financing, Factoring, Accounts Receivable and Inventory Financing, and Documentation), and a past member of the Legislative Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Section on Commercial Law and Bankruptcy, and the Uniform Commercial Code Committee of the State Bar of California.

Tom Lallas

Tom Lallas graduated from Stanford Law School in 1975. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, cum laude, in 1972. As an undergraduate, Mr. Lallas received a B.A. in the honors program in economics and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. As a law student, Mr. Lallas won the best brief and best oral advocate awards in the Marion Rice Kirkwood Moot Court Competition; represented Stanford Law School in the Western Region of National Moot Court Competition; was a member of the Board of Editors of the Stanford Law Review; co-authored a Note which was published in the Stanford Law Review; and was a member of Sergeants-at-Law, a trial advocacy organization. Prior to joining Levy, Small & Lallas in September of 1976, Mr. Lallas was an associate with the Los Angeles law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
