In the world of natural sciences a hypothesis is an assumption, which we haven't seen, haven't proved, but we accept it as a starting point - at least temporarily. Faith is something similar: it is the belief in the existence of the unseen. Faith in God is furthermore a vital force, a connection with Him who is perfect and true. If an engineer doesn't seek the truth but works with imitations and incorrect data instead of real ones then his creation soon falls apart. I believe we shouldn't lower our expectations in our spiritual life either. In my opinion inventions are not about human achievement but the privilege of discovering little parts of the Creator's beautiful work and using this knowledge for the benefit of others. Knowledge or in a wider interpretation "information", is one of the most important foundations of our society ready to be discovered, given the right approach. During the development of the heat engines I found an aspect was ignored which is not negligible. The existence of "energy traps" just like life and the reproduction of the DNA controlled life forms; the formation, strength gain and energy concentration of whirlwinds (tornado, hurricane), and the energetics of vortex chambers all tell us that there is something we haven't noticed yet.

Thomas Newcomen
