Albert F. Macre & Co., was founded by Albert F. Macre and David M. Zatta in 1991. On day one, the firm had a total of seven clients. Since that time, the firm has grown to six employees and serves hundreds of businesses and nearly one-thousand individuals, primarily in the Upper Ohio Valley. In 1995, the firm purchased its current location at 2017 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, Ohio. That same year, Macre and Zatta formed Payroll+ Services, a low-cost alternative to the national payroll services. In 1996 and 1998, the firm acquired accounting practices in Steubenville, Ohio and Weirton, West Virginia.
