Jeffrey J. Kimbell - CEO

Job Titles:
  • Managing Partner
Born and raised in Lake Forest, IL, Jeff Kimbell took advantage of growing up just 30 miles north of Chicago's outstanding music scene. With older siblings leading the way, Kimbell chased live music in the Chicago area during his adolescence, a pastime that continued in Boston and Providence during his preparatory school days at St. George's School (Newport, RI) and on into Dallas, TX while attending Southern Methodist University. Kimbell was twice elected social chair of his fraternity after his brothers recognized his energy and enthusiasm, knowledge of live music, and ability to throw large, well-attended, successful gigs with notable bands such as Allgood Music Company, Beanland, Dash Rip Rock, The Grapes, Jackopierce, and others. Kimbell moved to Washington, DC after graduation to pursue a career in government affairs and burst onto Washington's social scene not long after his arrival by reinventing the Capital Club of Washington's signature events: Santa Soireé , Sinatra Summer Soireé, and Swine on the Vine. Guests came to expect swanky affairs on the Kennedy Center Rooftop and at foreign embassies - never stuffy, always fabulous - and laid-back afternoons at Virginia vineyards and Maryland farms - think bales of hay, cold beer, and live music. In 2003, Kimbell and partner John Green decided to parlay his party-planning prowess into Magnum Entertainment Group, Inc. Thirty world class events later, Magnum is known for creating some of the best bashes in our nation's Capital. This led to Jeff being named the "GOP Social Chair" by Washingtonian Magazine in its January 2015 edition.

Johnson M. Green - President

Job Titles:
  • President
Growing up in Holly Springs, Mississippi (total area: 12.7 square miles; 2000 population: 7,957) in the 1970s and ‘80s, music played a prominent role in John Green's life from day one. He spent many a teenage night sneaking into Marshall Scruggs Grocery, a juke joint on the wrong side of the tracks, to catch sets by blues legends Junior Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside. Country icons Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings split air time on the cassette player of his 1968 Ford F-100 pick-up truck with Southern rock pioneers Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band, and The Allman Brothers Band as Green traveled the back roads of Marshall County. As an undergraduate at Ole Miss, Green spent much time on Fraternity Row taking in gigs by Better Than Ezra, Beanland, Widespread Panic, and Dash Rip Rock, to name a few, thus furthering his appreciation of great tunes. Green decided to head to Washington after graduation to pursue a career on Capitol Hill, and he maintains an active presence in politics and federal affairs today. No, they didn't meet at a Beanland concert…but Jeff Kimbell and John Green did get to know each other in the halls of Congress and in Washington music halls, and very quickly realized they both had an affinity for Southern belles, top-shelf spirits and great live bands. Green and Kimbell formally joined forces in 2003 to form Magnum Entertainment Group.
