Christian Magoon is CEO of Magoon Capital. Founded in 2010, the firm provides strategic counsel to asset management and related companies involved in the exchange - traded fund (ETF) business. Previously, Christian Magoon was President of Claymore Securities (now Guggenheim Investments), where he led the firm's product development, distribution and marketing efforts. During that time period Christian built one of the fastest growing and most innovative ETF businesses in the country. Prior to his role at Claymore, Christian served as a Senior Vice President at First Trust Portfolios.
Christian has helped to launch and develop more than 60 ETFs to date, introducing many "firsts" to the U.S. market including the first Multi Asset Income, Online Retail, Insider Sentiment, Solar Energy, Cyber Security, Target Maturity Date Bond, Timber, Oil Hedged MLP, BRIC, Closed-End Fund Strategy, and suite of China focused ETFs.

He has been a member of the Wall Street Journal's Panel on Wealth Management called "The Experts." Christian Magoon has had the honor of ringing the opening bell to begin the trading day at the NYSE Euronext multiple times. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Master's degrees from Wheaton College in Illinois.
