Maree's previous role was Associate Partner at Findex, an Australasian accountancy firm with 25 offices throughout NZ. Prior to that she was with KPMG London and KPMG Sydney. Her 15 years as a financial statement auditor have given her very detailed exposure to all sorts of investment entities, including property investment and banking entities. It has also given her an eye for detail. Maree is a Chartered Accountant of both the NZ and UK institutes.
More recently at Findex, Maree headed up the New Zealand Compliance function, making the increasing focus on compliance in the property management industry second nature for her.
Maree has headed up Mana Property Management since July 2018 and has handled an incredibly wide range of situations on behalf of owners. She has an exemplary history of Tribunal outcomes, thanks to her deep knowledge of the RTA, her understanding of the judicial process and propensity to prepare!
Having grown up in Dunedin, my involvement in local property began early and has come a full circle. From carrying out maintenance in student flats as a teenager, and living in them as a scarfie, to owning a home and managing rentals across Dunedin. As a property manager, this local knowledge and experience complements more than 10 years in property management. Locally, I've enjoyed 2 years in the residential and student property management sector, and prior to that as a commercial property manager for more than 7 years. I gained further knowledge of property management while on my O.E. working at the London 2012 Olympics Athletes' Village, also in social housing in the UK and a commercial role in Sydney. I thrive on the vibrancy of the work, getting out and about with a variety of people and properties, and finding the best solution for my property owners and tenants. In all aspects of property management, communication is key. I find if you follow up on the small things and remain calmly persistent, you'll find most problems can be resolved. Away from work, playing golf is my favourite way to keep fit and unwind, and spending time with my young family.
Raised in the North Otago region Whitney moved to Dunedin to study design before joining the Mana Property Management team 7 years ago as one of our administrators. Whitney is progressed within the team and is now an experienced property manager. Having an extensive customer focused background she knows how to deliver exceptional service and satisfaction to our clients and customers.
When not at work, Whitney enjoys travelling and especially exploring the Otago region. While in Dunedin, Whitney spends a lot of time researching and designing the renovations of her own home.
