McCaw was established in 1913 at 320 Superior Street in Toledo, Ohio by William and Margaret McCaw. In 1929 Gale A. Wilson went to work for them sweeping the floors. In November of 1937, Gale in conjunction with Clarence and Othella Schutt, purchased the company from the McCaw family. In 1973 Gale passed on his leadership upon his retirement to his son Gerald Wilson. Gerald continued the legacy of working with various other partners to grow and expand the company.
