Mango Communications was founded in 2008 by Patrick Murphy. Mango has its roots in the Rice University Wireless Open-Access Research Platform (WARP) project, originally an NSF-funded research project that grew into a self-sustaining open-source wireless research platform. In 2007 the Rice team began distributing WARP hardware to wireless researchers at select institutions. Starting in the summer of 2008, Mango assumed responsibility for the manufacturing, sales, support, and design of WARP hardware. Mango Communications provides products and services to build flexible, high-performance wireless systems on programmable logic platforms. Our core product is the 802.11 MAC/PHY Design, and our team is ready to work with customers on a wide range of custom wireless designs.
