MASKING SUPPLIES

Australasian Masking Supplies (AMS), supplies protective tapes, plugs and products to the Powder Coating, Anodising and Plating industries for the purpose of masking areas from being coated. We supply different styles and sizes of high-temperature plugs and masking tapes. The special high-temperature tape will withstand over 400 o F (204 o C) temperatures without peeling or leaving any residue. In fact you can use this tape to mask areas where you do not want colour, then peel off the tape and do a clear coat without having to re-clean the part, or apply the tape over the coated areas exposing the uncoated areas for a different colour coating. The plugs look like test tube plugs, but are made from silicone. They are used to cover critical holes where you do not want the coat to go. Powder coatings are applied with thickness's of 1.5 to 3 ml, so you can imagine what that can do to hole clearances, tolerances and threads if not protected...
