Farida Said Hilal

Farida has spent a staggering 13 years with Mauly Tours. The company and her have grown together and she has witnessed the company going through a number of changes and upgrades. She is part of the family. She is extremely professional in her work and passionate about what Tanzania has to offer. Her role includes making reservations as well as acting as a Senior Safari consultant and also does all the ground handling of clients.

Marangu Route

Otherwise known as the ‘coca-cola route', this is the oldest and one of the most popular routes. Many agree that this is the easiest path to the summit point. Although it is the easiest route, it is not as scenic as other routes. However, it does offer huts for accommodation whereas the other routes only have tented accommodation.

Peter Mushi

Peter Mushi Safari Guide Peter has an amazing 13 years of experience under his belt. Nine of those have been with Mauly Tours. He was born in Kilimanjaro and has a deep appreciation for wildlife. He is very knowledgeable and enjoys sharing this knowledge with clients. One of his favourite experiences is watching the animals give birth during the calving season. "I like calving moments because at that moment one realises that it is not only humans that care so tenderly for their offspring, wild animals do the same, just in different ways."

Sharook Ahmed

Sharook is our very own Transport Manager. He deals with all the logistics to get you where you need to be, on time, and as comfortably as possible.

Shira Route

This is almost identical to the Lemosho route. However, the start of your journey varies slightly, bypassing the walk through the rainforest with vehicle transport instead.

Spiros Roussos

Spiros Roussos Safari Guide Spiros is one of our much admired guides. Spiros brings extensive experience to every Mauly Tours safari he leads. He knows Tanzania like the back of his hand and is always enthusiastic to share knowledge. Ask Spiros any questions you have on safari and he will often add an extra bit of information you didn't know but were glad to learn. "Each day on safari is new; it is never boring. We are blessed with so much diversity here in Tanzania - the ocean, national parks, Mt. Kilimanjaro and great cultural diversity. Come and see for yourself all that Tanzania has to offer."

Suleiman Mustafa Kimwaga

Suleiman Mustafa Kimwaga Safari Guide Suleiman is our most experienced guides with 38 years of experience in the safari industry. He is a great narrator and enjoys explaining about why certain phenomena occurs in the wild. He is great with children and knows just how to make everyone comfortable as they explore the wild. "The power of knowledge is very important during a safari because it is the reason why people come to visit; to see nature in real life and get first hand information from the guides. As a guide you have to explain the ecosystem to clients because most people only know what they see on TV but often don't understand the reasons behind what happens."

Zayn Mussa

Enthusiastic, confident and friendly, those are the words that come to mind when we talk about Zayn. Zayn deals with reservations and customer care of clients. He is happy to hear about your trip and is always keen to ensure you have everything you could possibly need whilst in Tanzania. "My favorite safari moment has to be the memorable trip I took to Serengeti last year, from the wildlife that we were lucky enough to see, breathtaking scenery and luxurious accommodation at the Serena. We saw leopards make a live kill up in a tree, a cheetah with five baby cubs, a huge pride of lions - I think 17 in all, baby lions, elephants, giraffe, and of course the great migration."
