Dominic Battistel joined MC Architects Inc. in 1989 as a construction representative after spending more than two years as a site supervisor with a small General Contractor. This experience provided him with a good hands-on understanding of construction practice, which has been an ongoing asset for clients and projects.
His technical background combined with his construction experience is invaluable in the process of design, preparation of contract documents, and review of the construction phase of projects. Having dealt with a variety of clients, Dominic has an appreciation that every project is unique and has different needs. He effectively coordinates each design's requirements with the consulting team and guides the project through the necessary approvals-beginning with the municipality's planning and building departments-through construction to completion and occupancy.

Leo Makrimichalos has been in private practice for more than thirty years. He contributes experience from a wide range of project types including schools, churches, community and cultural centres, childcare centres, and libraries as well as commercial and industrial complexes and large-scale housing projects, with attention to design for the elderly.
Leo has been an active participant in numerous committees and task forces with both the OAA and the AIA, ensuring he is well-versed in current trends as well as how buildings must respond to the needs of users. This broad scope in the design and use of materials is an asset in solving complex issues that may arise during a project.

Since joining the original firm of Nightingale Quigley Makrimichalos in 1983, Paul Nicholson has been involved in the production of working drawings for a wide range of projects from custom, single-family residential to multi-storey institutional and light to medium industrial. His expertise over the past several years has been directed towards elementary and secondary schools. He is familiar with all aspects of project management, from initial client liaison through to design development for working drawings, specifications, and contract administration.
