Aiman Omar

Job Titles:
  • Project Manager, Mechanical Coordinator
After graduating from Drexel University with a BSME, Aiman joined our team in 2017 as a Mechanical Coordinator and then worked his way up to Project Manager. He currently holds his Professional Engineering license in DE and PA and is also a member of ASHRAE, ASPE, and Green Building United. Aiman has enjoyed working on projects with Vantage Point, Acts Retirement and Pennrose, and one of his highlights at McHugh, was when he participated in ASHRAE's 2018 LowDown Showdown modeling competition. Outside of work, Aiman enjoys playing soccer and fishing, most recently catching a 50lb yellowfin tuna while deep sea fishing in Delaware. His favorite food is sushi and any Malaysian cuisine, thinks the best movie in the Rocky franchise is Rocky I, and when asked if he sees the glass as half full or half empty, Aiman sees the glass at 50% efficient (or half full).

Andrew Foley

Anna Gaydula

Anna joined our team in June 2023, as an Administrative Assistant, and is responsible for daily office operations. From managing our project documents to coordinating all shipping and receiving materials to remembering employee birthday celebrations, Anna helps the office run smoothly. Outside of work, Anna enjoys thrifting and riding her motorcycle. She also loves Mexican food, especially burritos. She prefers a mountain view and when asked if she sees the glass as half full or half empty, she sees the glass as half full.

Anthony Rhoads

Anthony graduated from West Virginia University with a BSEE, before joining McHugh in 2016. Since then, he has become an Electrical Coordinator with a Passive House Consultant Certification (CPHC) and has received his EIT. He is currently a Project Manager and holds his Professional Engineering license in PA. Anthony is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Illuminating Engineers Society (IES). Outside of work, Anthony participates in Strongman competitions. His favorite food is cheesesteak and fries, and he prefers a mountain view, over the beach or lake. When asked if the glass is half full or half empty, he sees it as half full.

Brian Malloy

After graduating from Penn State University with a BSEE degree, Brian joined our team as an Electrical Designer in 1997 and worked his way up to leadership, when he went into partnership with Mike Witkowski and Steve Griet, and became Vice President, Director of Electrical Engineering in 2013. He has professional license in NJ, PA, FL, OH, VA, DC, RI and is a member of IEEE, IES, PSPE & NSPE. One of Brian's McHugh highlights was being given the opportunity from founder, Joe McHugh, to lead a great group of people. While not in the office, Brian spends time with his wife and three boys (and all their activities). He also is actively involved in St. Helena Council #14210 of the Knights of Columbus, sings in church choir, and likes to spend time golfing. His favorite food is favored by his sweet tooth, so he enjoys about any bakery item, and his favorite vacation spot is a yearly family vacation to Deep Creek Lake, MD, where they enjoy lake activities and mountain views.

Chris Keenan

Chris started with our team in 2000, as a Mechanical Coordinator, and worked hard to become one of our Senior Project Managers. He has a Mechanical Engineering background and is a member of LEED & ASHRAE. Some of Chris's favorite projects have been LEED jobs, such as St. Luke's in Cleveland, Floral Vale, and North Hills Highlands. Mostly recently, a project Chris worked closely on, Meriden Commons Phase II, won the 2021 ASHRAE Philadelphia Chapter Technology Award. When Chris is not in the office, he spends time with his wife and three children. He likes to DJ on the weekends and fish whenever we can. Chris thinks Rocky 2 was the best movie in the Rocky franchise and his favorite foods are sushi, tacos, and Korean.

Dave Engelhardt

Before joining the team in 2019 as a Mechanical Coordinator, Dave had over 25 years of experience under his belt, with a degree in Electro-Mechanical Design and Drafting. He is a member of ASHRAE & ASPE. While not at the office, Dave likes to spend his time with his wife and kids. He prefers to be outdoors, either camping, fishing, or relaxing by a lake. He enjoys any homemade food and when asked if he sees the glass as half empty or half full, he said it depends on the day.

Derek Nicol

Job Titles:
  • Mechanical Coordinator
Derek joined our team in February 2022, as a Mechanical Coordinator. He graduated from the University of Pittsburg at Johnstown, with a BSME. Derek chose to become an engineer because in school, he excelled at math and science and dreaded English and writing. He likes to design things and see them built and used in the real world. Outside of work, Derek likes to play soccer with friends and spends time with his older siblings. He loves watching movies, going to concerts and is a video game enthusiast. Derek's favorite food is Alaskan King Crab Legs and prefers to go to the mountains, over the beach or lake.

Duy Do

Duy joined us in September 2022, as an Electrical Coordinator. After graduating from Temple University with a BSEE, Duy worked on designing and modeling communication systems on submarines at NDI Engineering Co, with the Navy. He really enjoys working and building things, especially anything related to buildings and houses. Outside of work, Duy spends time with his family and likes to go on weekend trips to relax and enjoy the beautiful views at the beach, mountains, or lake. He also likes to play badminton, soccer, volleyball, and games on the computer. Duy's favorite foods are Pad Thai, pizza, burgers, and Vietnamese food. When asked if he sees the glass as half full or half empty, he views it as half full.

Esmeralda Reese

Esmeralda started with the team in September 2022 and is currently enrolled at Delaware County Community College. The thing Esmeralda likes most about engineering is working on Revit and seeing designs come alive. She has really enjoyed learning how to operate the software and read mark ups. Her favorite thing about MEA is the endless learning opportunities and appreciates that her teammates are the most patient and compassionate people she has ever worked with. Esmeralda is currently a member of ASPE. Outside of work, Esmeralda likes to read self-improvement books, draw, and watch Marvel movies. Her favorite food is filet mignon from Outback, and she loves the views of the beach. When asked if she views the glass as half empty or half full, it depends on how thirsty she is.

Ira Matthews

Ira joined us in March 2022 as an Electrical Coordinator. He graduated from Penn State Harrisburg with a BSEE and is a part of IEEE Young Professionals. Ira decided to become an engineer because he enjoys building things and solving problems. Ira has received his EIT certification and is currently working towards passing his PE exam. Outside of work, Ira likes to play instruments, such as the saxophone and guitar, and enjoys building guitar pedals and other electronics. His favorite food is Pad Thai, he prefers the beach over the mountains or lake and thinks Rocky I is the best movie in the Rocky franchise.

Jack Kligerman

Jack was one of the original employees of our team, as he started in 1986 with founder, Joe McHugh, as a draftsman. He received his associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, allowing him to move his way up through the company to become Senior Project Manager. Jack is a member of ASHRAE and is a LEED BD+C professional. Over the years, Jack has seen all different kinds of projects, but the ones that stand out most are Philadelphia's Park Casino & Facilities, and 300 Four Falls Corporate Center in Conshohocken, PA. Some of his memorable highlights are the many Christmas office dinners and an office trip to see Circ Du Soleil. While not at the office, Jack likes to golf, fly stunt kites, and work on home renovations, for his own and others. He follows sailboat racing, especially the Americas Cup, and is a car enthusiast, so enjoys driving his Mustang 5.0 anywhere he can. Jack's favorite foods are specially: a nice grilled steak, pizza steak with pepperoni, double decker PB&J sandwich with chips, and Chinese food. Jack looks forward to his annual Fall vacation in Miami Beach to do some sailing. When asked which move is the best in the Rocky franchise, he replied with "Adriannnnnnnne", Rocky I.

Joan Dierkes

Before joining the team in 2019 as a Mechanical Coordinator, Joan's engineering work experience centered on performing vibration analysis of rotating machinery. She received both her BSME and her MSME from Drexel University. Joan is a member of ASHRAE & ASME, and each year, she looks forward to being a part of our ACE's Giant Jenga Tournament team. Outside of work, Joan likes to spend time with her husband, two children and large extended family. She enjoys working with children as well as volunteering so during the school year she teaches Sunday School. Her favorite food is a soft pretzel, and her favorite vacation spot is the beach in Ocean City, NJ.

John Bisacquino

John started with the team in 2008, as a college intern. Since that time, John graduated from Temple University with a BSME. John advanced his career becoming a Project Manager in 2016 and received his Professional Engineering licenses, in PA & NJ, shortly after that. In Spring of 2022, John accepted a new position with the company and is currently an Associate. John enjoys the fast-paced work environment that engineering brings as each day presents new projects and challenges. When John is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children and two dogs. John is a huge Philadelphia sports fan, and especially enjoys watching the Flyers. He loves to visit local craft breweries to try all the IPAs they offer. If you were to ask his neighbors or anyone who knows John, they'd likely tell you that he's "the guy who can fix anything". John spends a lot of his free time repairing and rebuilding small engines. He loves the challenge of diagnosing and solving problems which he uses at work and his hobby of small engine repairs. John's favorite foods are chicken parmigiana and shrimp spring rolls. He loves to visit Ocean City, New Jersey with his family.

Keith Galle

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Keith joined the team in 2020 as an Electrical Coordinator. From the machine shop blueprint room to CAD department manager, Keith has worked hard to become Lighting Certified and deeply appreciates the support and communication provided by the leadership at McHugh. In addition to participating in the design of various projects, such as First Tee Golf and the Calvary Cemetery, he has also enjoyed assisting with Revit and is proud of the progress the team has made tailoring the program to suit McHugh's needs. Outside of work, Keith revels in the time spent with his wife, two children, dog named Pumpkin, gecko named Spots, and maintaining four aquariums filled with various fish and shrimp. He volunteers as Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 48 in Glenside, PA, and enjoys making music with long-time band mates and friends. Keith enjoys delicious food, thinks Rocky III is the best movie in the Rocky franchise (I pity the fool that disagrees) and his answer to the glass being half full or half empty: the glass is ludicrously oversized in the first place.

Linda Sosnowski

Linda is one of the original employees of our team, hired by founder, Joe McHugh, in 1997. She started as a CAD Operator and since then has worked her way up to Senior CAD Coordinator. Over the years, Linda has worked on many special projects, but one that stands out the most is Philadelphia's Park Casino because it was such a large project, and it was one of the first casinos in the state. One of Linda's favorite memories at McHugh was celebrating a co-worker's retirement and every time the song, "Happy Retirement Day" was played over the sound system, most people would form a Congo line around the office. Whenever not in the office, Linda likes to spend her time outdoors. She loves the mountains, fly fishing, kayaking, and gardening. Her favorite foods are seafood and pasta, and when asked if she sees the glass as half full or half empty, she said it depends on the day.

Marie Flemming

Marie joined our team in 2006 and is currently our Bookkeeper. She manages all employees' timesheets and expenses, along with our healthcare policies. Marie also handles all client invoices and vendor payments. Without Marie, no one would be paid and happy! Her favorite memory at McHugh was when a vendor took some employees to a Philadelphia Flyers game and she was able to meet former Flyers player, Bill Barber. Outside of work, Marie loves to spend time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoys traveling, going to concerts, long walks at the lake with her dog Leo, and reading books (historical fiction and crime). Her favorite food is anything that someone else cooks and she sees the glass as half full, as she is a die-hard Flyers fan, and patiently waiting for them to go all the way!

Matt Schneider

After starting in 2013 as a Plumbing Designer, Matt advanced his career to his current position, Project Manager and Head of the Plumbing Department. Prior to his time here, Matt went to the American Institute of Drafting and Drexel University and has years of engineering experience with jobs from Maris Equipment Co, Bud Royal Associates, Paul Kopf Inc, Wick Risher White, and Ballinger. Matt is currently a member of ASPE & ASHRAE and loves having the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with all different types of plumbing designs. When Matt is not in the office, he enjoys being outside, either riding his bike or relaxing on a boat. He also likes to spend time sketching, which he has been doing since he was in high school. Matt's favorite food is pizza, and when asked if he sees the glass as half full or half empty, he looks at the glass as half full.

Michael Witkowski

Mike joined the team in 1999, under the supervision of founder, Joe McHugh. He started to design systems and manage projects, which eventually led him into partnership with Brian Malloy and Steve Griet, when Joe McHugh retired, making him Vice President - Director of Mechanical Engineering in 2013. Mike went to Drexel University and graduated with a BSME and MSCIVE, and now has professional licenses in NJ, PA, CA, MI, NY, CT, MA, TN.

Patrick Ryan

  • Project Manager, Plumbing Coordinator
Before joining the team in 2019 as a Plumbing Coordinator, Pat started out as an auto mechanic, but grew tired of the job and wanted to create and design, so he decided to attend the University of Alabama, graduating with a BSME degree. Pat is very happy with his career change and likes the fact that there is always something new to learn in the industry. Some of Pat's highlights while working at McHugh have been team events, such as the 2020 ACE Giant Jenga Tournament and ASPE's golf outings. Recently, we celebrated Pat receiving his Professional Engineering license in DE. While not in the office, Pat loves spending time with his wife, daughter, and son. He enjoys cooking, playing golf, playing guitar, and messing around with electronics. Pat also has a love for the mountains, as he spent a lot of time growing up taking family trips up there, and his favorite foods are homemade pizza, homemade Ramen, and BBQ. When asked if he thinks the glass is half full or half empty, he says, "The engineer in me wants to say ½ full = ½ empty but the answer you are looking for is it's not how full the glass is but what's in it that matters."

Rafael Carrero

Before joining our team in 2020, Rafael came to us with an extensive engineering background. He graduated from the University of Seville (Spain), with a BSIE. He gained a lot of experience from his past jobs at Bala Consulting Engineers and Alderson Engineering. Rafael is a licensed Professional Engineer in PA & DE, BCxP (Building Commissioning Professional) and a LEED Accredited Professional. In Spring 2023, Rafael accepted a new position with the company and is currently an Associate. He is a member of ASHRAE and has several highlight projects, such as Impact Services, Kate's Place, William Dick School, Academia Antonia Alonso Charter School, and all Whitemarsh Retirement community projects. Outside of work, Rafael likes to play tennis, ski on the local slopes, and spend time with family on the beach in Sea Isle City. He coaches his four children's soccer and basketball teams, follows his home soccer team, Betis, and in his little spare time, Rafael enjoys doing jigsaw puzzles and reading. His favorite food is Paella and anything with chocolate.

Robert McErlean

Rob started with us in Spring 2023, accepting a Commissioning Coordinator position. He received his associate degree from Atlantic City Community College and is currently working to finish his Mechanical Engineering degree from Rowan University. Rob has always had a passion for solving problems, and particularly enjoys following a project from start to finish, and seeing it come to fruition, as well as the reactions from clients. Outside of work, Rob is a hobbyist woodworker and enjoys making furniture for himself, family, and friends. He likes to work on home improvements and spend time with his girlfriend. His favorite food is a bacon cheeseburger and would love to have a river view outside his window. When asked if he sees the glass half empty or half full, he said it depends on the day, but usually he will see it as half full.

Sean Thompson

As one of our Plumbing Coordinators, Sean has over 30 years of experience in commercial plumbing, heating, and piping systems. He started with our team in 2015 as a CAD Draftsman, then two years later, he moved into the plumbing department, which ended up being a highlight for him, as Sean transitioned into a designer. Sean is certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) and a member of ASHRAE. Outside of work, Sean likes to work on plumbing jobs for family and friends. He is the Head Coach & Manager of his daughters travel softball team, and a big Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Flyers and Eagles. Sean's favorite food is Medium Rare Rib Steak/Rib Roast, and when asked if he sees the glass as half full or half empty, he sees the glass as half empty. Sean says if it's not full, it's half empty and waiting to be filled.

Steve Griet - President

Steve was one of the original employees of our team, when he was hired by founder, Joe McHugh, in 1984. He graduated from Temple University with a BSME. Currently, Steve is the President of McHugh, and has participated in many successful projects over the years. He enjoys meeting many diverse clients and maintaining close relationships. He currently holds professional registrations in PA, NJ, AL, DE, MD, SC, NC, FL, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. With experience in all stages of design, bid, construction administration, and commissioning, Steve is very passionate about his love for the McHugh team and continually strives to grow the company. When not working in the office or on his phone, Steve enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, 2 daughters and beloved Boston Terrier, Sonny. His favorite places are North Wildwood, NJ, Palm Beach, FL, and any golf course. He enjoys all cuisines especially, Mexican, Italian, Indonesian and seafood. When asked if he sees the glass as half full or half empty, Steve replied, "I'm a full glass guy. I am very optimistic and like to be surrounded with positive people."
