Brad Gilson

Brad started with McAninch Corp. in August 2021 as a Safety Manager with a background in dairy farming and mining. He spent ten years at an underground silica sand mine in NE Iowa as a supervisor / manager before getting into the safety department as a company trainer. Prior to working at McAninch, Brad was the safety director for an underground mine in central Iowa. Growing up in Strawberry Point, IA, Brad graduated Starmont High School in 1993. He and wife Kelly have six children and four grandchildren.

Brent Magg

Chase Juhl

Chase joined McAninch Corp. in 2017 after graduating from ISU with a degree in business management. Starting out in the GPS Division and then becoming an Estimator / Project Manager, Chase has primarily been involved in large scale warehouses including Project Willa, Project Beron, I-80 Warehouse, and the new Tesla EV Service Center.

Cody Malloy

Cody started with McAninch Corp. in the fall of 2013 as an Operator before being promoted to GPS Field Technician and now as an Estimator / Project Manager. Growing up in Des Moines where his father worked for McAninch since 1993, McAninch has always been an influence on Cody. Cody graduated from Urbandale High School, then received a BA in Criminal Justice from Grand View University. He and his wife Taylor, a Veterinarian at All Pets Animal Hospital in Des Moines are expecting their first child in March 2021.

Craig Kinzie

Craig started in the Safety Department in 2005, moved to Estimating, and is now a Project Organizer at McAninch Corp. Craig graduated Butte High School in Nebraska, then completed a BS in Criminology from Wayne State College and also a Registered Nurse Degree from Manatee College. Married to his wife, Janet, they have a son, Anthony and a daughter, Angela, along with their dog Max.

Curt Smith

Curt started with McAninch Corp. in the spring of 1994 as a lowboy driver before being promoted to Transportation Manager. He then moved into the Safety Department as Field Safety Manager and is now in charge of purchasing and locates for the field. Growing up northwest of Indianola, Curt worked on his neighbor's farm and helped with his father's OTR trucking business. After graduating Indianola High School, Curt started out working at a factory job and over the years has received and led multiple on-the-job training along with obtaining several Safety Certificates.

Dan Kruse

Dan turned his summer job in 1989 with McAninch Corp. as a laborer and pipe layer into his career as Utility Crew Foreman and now Estimator / Project Manager. Growing up in Carlisle, Dan attended Carlisle Community High School, then graduated Central College with BA in Business Management. He and his wife Julie have two daughters, Lauren and Brooke.

Dan Pohlmeier

Dan joined the McAninch team as a laborer on June 6, 1981. He was promoted to Foreman in 1988 leading his crew on large scale projects. In 2000, Dan was promoted to our Utility Superintendent position managing the underground side at McAninch. Since 2000, Dan has been instrumental in training our operators and laborers. In his free time, Dan enjoys grandkids and motorcycles. Dan and his wife Diane have 2 children, Holly and Tyler, with 3 grandkids (so far).

Darin Eckels

Darin started as an operator in 2012 before joining the GPS Division for McAninch Corp. After being the GPS Division Manager for three years, Darin moved to his current position as Estimator / Project Manager. Growing up in south-central Iowa, he has always enjoyed being around and operating large equipment. Darin attended Murray High School, then graduated from SWCC with an Associate degree in Structural Engineering Technology.

Dave Stitz

Dave started with McAninch in July of 2000 as a controller and moved to VP of Finance in 2008. Married to his wife Patty, they have three children: Zach, Kaitlin and Brianna. Dave grew up on a farm in Carroll County, IA and was the 3 rd oldest of 11 (6 brothers, 4 sisters). After graduating Carroll Kuemper HS, Dave farmed near Manning, IA with his father raising cattle and hogs; along with a farrow to feeder operation. Later graduating from AIB and Upper Iowa University with a degree in Accounting / Business, Dave acquired his registered CPA designation.

Ed Origer - COO, President

Ed started with McAninch Corp. in January 2002 as a Project Manager / Estimator, then moved up to Vice President before his current position as President / COO. Growing up on a farm near St. Joseph, IA in Kossuth County, Ed worked during the summers as a Laborer and Equipment Operator for Mark Montag Excavating out of West Bend. After graduating from Bishop Garrigan HS in Algona, he obtained an Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Hawkeye Tech. Ed and his wife Patty have four adult children Jeremy, Carissa and her husband Thomas, Rachel, and Patrick.

Eric Peters

Eric started with McAninch Corp in October 2022 as the Human Resources Manager. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology at Iowa State University. Eric has human resources experience in the construction and manufacturing industries, as well as with the Dept of Veterans Affairs. He has been a certified Professional in Human Resources since 2018. Eric is happily married to his wife, Stacia, and they have three sons: August, Simon and Gideon.

Hunter Watkins

Hunter started with McAninch Corp. in 2007 as a parts runner. After graduating DMACC with an Associate degree in Liberal Arts and Civil Engineering Technology, Hunter moved to the GPS Division, was promoted to the GPS Division Manager, and is now an Estimator / Project Manager. Growing up in Granger, IA, Hunter was exposed to McAninch through his dad who also owned his own earthwork company. He and his wife Katie have a dog named Hank.

Jarrod Wahman

Jarrod started with McAninch Corp. in the spring of 1998 as a Lowboy Driver, moving up to Fuel Truck Driver, then to his current position as Transportation Manager. Growing up in the Des Moines area, Jarrod always enjoyed driving and "if you are going to be a driver, you'd just as well haul the biggest and coolest equipment and that meant McAninch." Jarrod graduated Dexfield High School in Redfield, IA. He holds a Class A CDL with HazMat, Tanker, Doubles, and Triples endorsements. Married to his wife Wendy for 26 years, they have two daughters, Rylee and Regan, and two dogs, Jarvis and Bella. When not working, Jarrod enjoys hunting, fishing, trap shooting and riding his motorcycle.

Jason Paulson

Jason started with McAninch Corp. in the fall of 1996 as a mechanic. He was then promoted to Shop Foremen, then Equipment Manager and to his current position as VP of Fleet Management. Jason grew up in Ft. Dodge before moving to Grimes and graduating Dallas Center-Grimes High School. He then went on to complete the diesel program at DMACC.

John McMullen

John started with McAninch Corp. in 1996 as an Estimator / Project Manager working primarily on highway jobs. Growing up in the small town of Corning in southwest Iowa, John married his high school sweetheart (two in a class of 51), then received a Bachelor's degree in Civil / Construction Engineering from Iowa State University. Prior to McAninch Corp., he worked for the IA DOT and a small contractor in Hawaii as an estimator / project manager.

Josh Benson - VP

Josh started with McAninch Corp. in the spring of 2004 as a GPS Technician, then moved up to GPS Division Manager, followed by Estimator / Project Manager and currently Vice President. After attending Harrisburg High School in South Dakota, Josh then graduated from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls with an Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, where he was quickly recruited by McAninch. Married since December 2009, he and Shannon have two girls, Bryn and Blake, that keep them busy.

Justin Marschalk

Justin is our newest Estimator / Project Manager, starting with McAninch Corp. in 2020. Growing up in St. Louis MO, Justin has lived in several locations around the Midwest, Colorado and California. Justin graduated Mehlville High School in St. Louis before graduating with a BS in Construction Management and minor in Business from Missouri State University. He holds an LEED Green Associate Certification.

Kelly Wolfe - Treasurer

Kelly started with McAninch in the spring of 2020, right at the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic. He grew up in the Des Moines area, graduating high school from Martensdale - St Mary's. After spending time in the Army Reserve as an Intelligence Analyst, Kelly went on to complete his bachelor's in Accounting from Upper Iowa University. In 2009 he earned the CPA designation. Kelly enjoys spending time with his wife Angela, and their 4 kids - Gabe, Ann Marie, Bridget and Margret.

Kyle joined the GPS department for McAninch Corp. in 2020 before moving to his current position of Estimator / Project Manager. Growing up in SW Iowa, Kyle attended East Union Community Schools and gained a love for the outdoors which led to him obtaining a bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences from Central College.

Marc Casteel

Marc started with McAninch Corp. in January of 2019 as an Estimator / Project Manager. He graduated from Iowa State University in the fall of 1989 with a degree in Civil Engineering and obtained his professional engineering license four years later. The years between graduation and McAninch were spent as a practicing geotechnical engineer. Marc has been married for 31 years to Jana and they have one son, Kale (21).

Matt Dykstra - EVP

Matt's career at McAninch began in June of 2000 as a GPS Field Technician. After gaining field experience, Matt stepped into the GPS Division Manager role for several years before being promoted to Estimator / Project Manager. There he managed builds such as Facebook and Amazon while developing strong client relationships with partners such as Ryan Companies. In 2020, Matt was promoted to Vice President and in 2022 promoted to Executive Vice President. Matt graduated from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, SD with an associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology. Matt and Cara were married in 2010 and have 3 children: James, Tate and Allie. Family hobbies include movie nights, shooting guns, golfing and riding ATV's.

Mike Harken

Mike started with McAninch Corp. in the fall of 2018 as the IT Manager. With 30 years in the IT field, Mike has worked for Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association, GuideOne Insurance and most recently as the CTO for Broker Dealer Financial Services Corp. Mike is married to his wife Rachel, with two sons - Trace, who also works at McAninch Corp. in the GPS department, and Kyle, a project manager and electrician for Cruiser Electric.

Scott Hintz

Scott started with McAninch Corp. as an operator on the grading side in 1993. He moved up to Grading Foreman, then Grading Superintendent in 2003. Growing up outside Denison, IA, Scott helped on the family farm and worked construction alongside his father. Scott and his wife Marilyn have four children: Daniel, a firefighter in Utah; Mathew, attending University of Iowa; Nicole, attending South Dakota State University; and Emilee attending Carlisle High School.

TJ Lint

TJ started with McAninch Corp. in 2018 as a laborer, moved into a GPS position and then transitioned into his current role as a Project Manager. Growing up on a farm NW of Des Moines, TJ has always been around heavy equipment and hard work. After graduating East Greene High School, TJ graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Marketing from Buena Vista University, where he also lettered in football all four years.

Tony Kollasch

Tony started with McAninch Corp. in 2001 as a Laborer before moving into an Operator position, then Utility Foreman and now as an Estimator / Project Manager. Tony grew up in Algona, IA and graduated from Algona High School. He and his wife have one daughter.

Trace Harken

Trace started with the GPS division for McAninch Corp in the fall of 2021. Growing up in Bondurant, IA, Trace graduated Bondurant-Farrar High School in 2016, then studied mechanical engineering at Iowa State University.

Tyler Inman

Tyler started in the GPS department at McAninch in the winter of 2020. Growing up in Altoona, IA, he was introduced to AutoCAD and Civil Engineering offered through DMACC.

Tyler Prifrel

Tyler started with McAninch Corp. in 2022 as an Estimator / Project Manager after graduating from Iowa State with a bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering. He also interned with McAninch for two summers prior to his graduation. Tyler is originally from a southeast Twin Cities suburb in Minnesota, so, he is excited to start fresh in the state of Iowa.

Tyler Tedesco

Tyler started with McAninch in the spring of 2017 as a GPS Field Technician and was promoted to GPS Division Manager in 2020. Growing up in Jesup, IA, Tyler was introduced to AutoCAD through his shop classes at Jesup High School. Tyler then completed Hawkeye Community College's Civil Construction and Engineering Program expanding his AutoCAD skills that he utilizes every day in his position. "Outside of work I enjoy racing. This year, my Dad and I took his 1979 Camaro that he turned into a drag race car racing, which meant disassembling and reassembling the engine, suspension, and transmission before heading to the track the first time."
