Alex Sims

Mr. Sims directs acquisitions, dispositions, and capitalizations across Moody's commercial real estate portfolio. In this role, he has closed approximately $1.25 billion in transactions since 2014. His duties include overseeing commercial real estate transactions, which includes reviewing property due diligence, preparing settlement statements, securing financing and franchise agreements, reviewing loan documents, and maintaining transaction checklists. He has built an extensive network of relationships with decision-makers across the industry - from commercial lenders, attorneys, brokers, title companies, hotel franchisors, and appraisers. Previously, Mr. Sims sourced acquisitions and development opportunities across commercial asset classes. In this role, he secured financing and franchise approvals from major national hotel franchisors, including Marriott and Hilton. One example of Mr. Sims' acquisitions includes the Residence Inn development, located in the Texas Medical Center of Houston; Mr. Sims sourced the land acquisition and closed the construction financing for this project. Mr. Sims is a licensed General Lines Agent with the Texas Department of Insurance with a qualification in Property and Casualty Insurance. Mr. Sims began at Moody in 2001 by underwriting debt placement in Excel models for the Mortgage division. After graduating with honors from Baylor University, Mr. Sims spent a year serving as a mentor with a non-profit organization, and he has volunteered extensively at a local health care clinic. Mr. Sims lives in Houston with his three children.

Andrew Tomczeszyn

As Moody National's top human resources executive, Andrew is responsible for creating innovative ways to engage all employees and establishing the culture, systems and training that will develop leaders and empower employees to solve problems. Additionally, Andrew brings nearly 25 years' experience in Human Resources and leads the employee relations, benefits, payroll, HRM, compensation and performance management functions for the company. Prior to joining Moody National in 2015, Andrew supported both established organizations and entrepreneurial ventures advising through them their stages of creation, growth, and stabilization. Andrew's most recent positions have been as Human Resources Director at both Crestwood Midstream Partners, LP and Stewart Title Guaranty Company. In addition, he has served in both line and corporate level leadership positions at Baker Botts, Litton Loan Servicing, Dell, and Cap Gemini America. Andrew graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Communications. He holds active Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certifications and is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management, WorldatWork, and HR Houston.

Brett C. Moody - CEO, Chairman

Brett C. Moody founded Moody National Companies in 1996, and today he serves as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of our advisor. Mr. Moody founded Moody Mortgage Corporation in 1996 and has served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since its formation. Mr. Moody, who has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience, has since guided the growth of his Company from a mortgage Company to a full service real estate firm, which includes affiliates Moody National Mortgage Corporation, Moody Realty Corporation, Moody Management Corporation, Moody National Development Company, L.P., Moody National Construction, LLC, and Moody National Exchange, LLC and their respective subsidiaries, collectively referred to as the Moody National Companies Organization. His primary responsibilities include overseeing real estate acquisitions and management as well as building, coaching and leading the Moody National Companies Organization's team of professionals. As Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Moody National Mortgage Corporation, Mr. Moody has closed hundreds of transactions totaling over $3 billion. Prior to founding Moody National Mortgage Corporation, Mr. Moody was a financial analyst for the Dunkum Mortgage Group, now Grandbridge Real Estate Capital. Mr. Moody has also served on numerous boards including Yellowstone Academy and the Palmer Drug Abuse Program.

Davison Nutt

Mr. Nutt serves as Vice President of Investments. Mr. Nutt joined the sponsor Moody National Companies in March of 2008, and has been involved in the structuring of syndications for Moody National's various equity programs, which totaled approximately $1.8 Billion of real estate investment products. In his current role, Mr. Nutt is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing Broker-Dealer and Key Advisor relationships for Moody National REIT II, Inc. Mr. Nutt holds an undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston, where he achieved the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence. While pursuing his MBA, Mr. Nutt was selected to participate in "The Cougar Fund" at the University of Houston where he served as an analyst and portfolio manager of a multi-million dollar private investment fund holding equity securities that are traded in U.S. markets. Mr. Nutt currently holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.

Elizabeth Meyers

Elizabeth Meyers joined the firm as Vice President and Commercial Escrow Officer for Moody National Title Company, L.P. in 2019. She has over 35 years of title insurance industry experience closing high end residential transactions and commercial properties, including apartment complexes, office buildings, and retail centers; as well as commercial development projects and land acquisitions. Mrs. Meyers is a native Houstonian and attended the Kinkaid School and Centenary College.

Jan Burleson

Mr. Burleson and his team are responsible for the management of the hotels managed by Moody National Hospitality Management. These tasks include Sales and Revenue development strategies, recruiting, hiring, training, maintaining proper staffing levels, vendor negotiation, cleanliness, quality, service, and financial margins. He has more than 30 years of Hospitality Management experience with Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Intercontinental Hotels and independent resorts. Before coming to Moody in 2009, Mr. Burleson was a Regional Director of Operations for Alliance Hospitality in the Northeast. Mr. Burleson has received the designation of Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association.

Jeff Moody

Jeff Moody oversees Moody National's growing mulitfamily asset portfolio. His responsibilities include leading the various property management teams, monitoring performance and growth initiatives, and developing strategies to ensure client goals and objectives are achieved. Additionally, Mr. Moody heads up the Moody National Multifamily Transition Team. Since joining Moody National, Jeff has been involved in rehabilitation projects, asset repositioning, distressed property management and rehabilitation projects, but his extensive expertise is in business development primarily via digital marketing schemes. Prior to joining Moody National, Jeff Moody served as CFO of a multi-company holding group with the majority of its assets being multifamily properties, commercial office space, and international real estate. Additionally, his experience includes leading a technology company and founding a franchise business. He received his BBA from Baylor University.

Lastrada Burns

Lastrada Burns is Moody National Hospitality Management's Financial Manager. Her responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, financial review and analysis, merchant accounts, purchasing, vendor relationships, brand compliance, and property initiatives. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, she has worked for Marriott, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Hilton branded hotels. Prior to joining Moody in 2006, Lastrada worked in Hotel Management for Interstate Hotels and Resorts.

Lucy Tovar

Lucy Tovar has over 10 years of Treasury Management experience. Prior to joining Moody National Companies in 2003, she worked in the accounting department for NBC Holdings, a property management company. Ms. Tovar oversees all treasury functions within the company. Her day-to-day responsibilities include company's cash management, review daily cash transactions, update daily cash reports, weekly funding for asset Managed and Managed hotels, monthly distributions to investor and management of all company bank accounts. Lucy graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from University of Houston and holds a Texas Title Insurance Escrow License.

Mary E. Smith - Chief Legal Officer

Ms. Smith serves as General Counsel for the Moody National Companies and is responsible for overseeing all legal matters. Prior to joining Moody National Companies in June 2007, Ms. Smith was an attorney at Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, where she specialized in corporate financing and securities transactions with an emphasis on the representation of sponsors in private placements and real estate syndications, including limited partnerships, limited liability companies, Delaware statutory trusts, and tenant-in-common interests. Ms. Smith has acted as securities counsel in over $2 billion of real estate syndications including office buildings, retail centers, shopping malls, apartment buildings, assisted living facilities and hotels. Ms. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Political Science, summa cum laude, from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall). Ms. Smith was previously the President of Moody Securities, LLC and held Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses with FINRA.

Robert W. Engel - CFO

Mr. Engel serves as the Chief Financial Officer - Real Estate Development and Management of the Moody National Companies Organization, a position he has held since September 2006. Prior to working at the Moody National Companies Organization, Mr. Engel served as the Division Controller, Real Estate Development and Management, of BMS Management, Inc., an owner and manager of commercial and multifamily properties primarily in Houston, Texas from May 2005 to September 2006. From November 1999 to May 2005, Mr. Engel served as Controller and Chief Financial Officer, Real Estate Development and Management for Hartman Management, Inc., advisor to Hartman Commercial Properties REIT, which provides commercial real estate services. Mr. Engel has a Bachelor of Business Administration with highest honors with a major in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Engel is a CPA and holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Engel is also a CPM, with membership in the Institute of Real Estate Management, and a CCIM as a member of the CCIM Institute. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas. Mr. Engel holds Series 7, 22, 24, 27, 62 and 63 licenses with FINRA.

Stefanie Sadka McGinnis - SEVP

Mrs. McGinnis joined the firm in 2005. In 2006, she assumed the role of Director of Investor Services and helped close over $400 million in real estate transactions including over $100 million of TIC transactions. During the downturn of the capital markets, Mrs. McGinnis expanded communication to the more than 1,200 tenants in common. Additionally, she facilitated loan modifications and coordinated loan restructures for 17 offerings consisting of more than 450 tenants in common. In addition to her role overseeing the tenant in common investor relation, Mrs. McGinnis serves as alternate principal for Moody Securities. Mrs. McGinnis graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and currently holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.

Stephen B. Woods

Prior to joining the Moody National Companies in 2005, Mr. Woods was Director of Facility Services for all of Enron's properties in Houston, Texas. Mr. Woods has over 25 years of experience in property management, facilities management, and administrative services with two Fortune 500 companies. During his tenure with Enron, Mr. Woods managed over 2.5 million square feet of property including the Enron Center Campus at 1400 Smith St., a 50-story, 1.2 million square foot corporate office tower, and 1600 Smith Street, a 40-story, 1.2 million square foot corporate office tower. He also managed the company's Data Center and Airport Hangar properties. In 1997, Enron received the Building Owners and Managers Association's prestigious "International Office Building of the Year" award for corporate facilities. In 1999, 1400 Smith Street received the "Energy Star" award, the EPA's highest award for energy efficiency. After leaving Enron in 2001, Mr. Woods developed a real estate consulting firm that specializes in property and facilities management. Mr. Woods is a licensed Realtor and is a member of the National Association of Realtors®, Texas Association of Realtors, Houston Association of Realtors and Galveston Association of Realtors.

Mr. Lee holds a Master of Arts in Leadership, Theology, & Society from Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia as well as a BA in Business Administration from Baylor University. He currently holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses. He resides in San Diego, California with his wife, Kara, his daughter, Lydia, and his sons, Levi and Lukas.
