MOSSER - Key Persons

Andy Boedeker - VP

Job Titles:
  • Vice President
  • Vice President of General Building Division
As Vice President, General Building Division, Andy Boedeker works closely with Mosser's project managers, providing executive oversight on projects from start to finish. Starting at Mosser in 1987, Andy swept jobsites, worked as a laborer, and then co-op'd through college until he was hired full time as a field engineer. Eventually promoted to become one of Mosser's most seasoned project managers, Andy worked on several notable projects in his career including the BGSU Hanna-Maurer Center/New College of Business, the Build Ohio Award-winning BGSU University Hall renovation, as well as the UT Savage Arena renovation project that also earned a Build Ohio Award. Now, after 35 years with Mosser, Andy says he is right where he wants to be-in a leadership position, sharing his knowledge and experience to not only help grow Mosser as a company, but also help its people grow to their fullest potential. Andy also enjoys his role as Vice President of the AGC of Northwest Ohio Executive Board of Trustees as well as serving on the Bricklayers and Pension Plan Committee. In his spare time, Andy enjoys playing golf, working in the yard, and vacationing in northern Michigan with his wife of 20 years, Karen, and daughter, Summer, who he is proud to say will be attending The Ohio State University in the fall, majoring in Biology with a Pre-Med track. Andy also likes to unwind in the evenings with a good glass of wine, listening to blues or jazz on the patio with Karen. Andy not only managed award-winning projects throughout his career, but his award-winning attitude can be seen in the way motivates and mentors others. Thank you, Andy for your years of hard work and mentoring the next generation of project managers!

Chad Rhoades

Chad Rhoades is one of the newest members to the Mosser crew. He specializes in ensuring the stability of our computer network. This encompasses planning, developing, upgrading, installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all network hardware, servers, and software. Chad has extensive experience working for large corporations coming from two Fortune 500 companies. He was drawn to Mosser for the family-like atmosphere that allows him to have a work-life balance. He enjoys his weekends now! Nothing will make you appreciate your family more than serving our country as a Marine. Chad has served three tours in Iraq and created life-long relationships with several fellow Marines. This group of Marines created a charity to support children who have lost a parent while serving in the military. Every year, these generous men go to different towns, seeking out several families to raise money for. This year will be their 5th year doing this charity work. Chad knows the sacrifices our military makes when it comes to children as he has four kids of his own - David (18), Jonathan (17), Isabella (16) and Dominic (14). He always found it tough to leave them behind when it came time to serve, no matter their age. When Chad isn't at Mosser, he can be found serving up healthy protein shakes and refreshing clean energy drinks at S.M.S. Nutrition, his nutrition club that just happens to be located close to the Toledo office. He also enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Jamie, who has the same interest in exotic pets, traveling and enjoying the outdoors.

Dave Stelzer

Dave Stelzer has been with The Mosser Group for the past 16 years as our IT Manager. He coordinates, plans and leads all computer-related activities for Mosser. You can say Dave is "keeping the borders safe." Dave identifies threats to Mosser through software and technology. He ensures that the hardware and software used by our company is compatible, secure, and up to date with technology to run Mosser efficiently and competitively. What you may not know about Dave is that he obtained his private pilot's license in 1995. He took all of his instruction from Griffing Flying Services in Sandusky (the site of the Cedar Point Sports Force complex). He obtained his license knowing that he would have to stop flying to raise his family with his wife of 32 years, Christine. Together they have a daughter, Rachel (Alex), and twin sons, Dan (Sarah) and Nick (Meg). The most recent additions to his brood are his grandchildren Quinn and Lucas. Dave wanted to obtain his license for both the sense of accomplishment and hoping that he would be able to fly again later in life. In 2019, Dave began studying for the FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot Certification. He obtained his commercial drone license which rekindled his passion for flying. He started the process of re-training and meeting the necessary current requirements in 2020. He took remedial training and by October of 2020, he passed a flight review and was back in the left-hand seat. Dave rented planes from the Fremont Airport until fall of 2021, when he purchased a 1968 Cessna 177 Cardinal. In November of 2021, Dave and the owner of the Fremont Airport flew commercially to Los Angeles. They spent the two days flying his new 177 Cardinal back from Los Angeles to Fremont. Dave says, "It was quite the trip!" The trip took 17 hours with stops in Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas, Illinois, and finally, Fremont. These days Dave makes a lot of back-and-forth trips to Louisville, Kentucky, where his daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter live. He's currently working on his instrument rating. Once he obtains his instrument rating, he would like to become involved with a charitable organization that needs pilots such as Angel Flight. Wow! Congratulations, Dave! We are proud that you continued your passion for flying and are doing what you love!
