Dr. McClellan graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biology from Transylvania University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville in 1998 then completed his internship at the University of Kentucky's Chandler Medical Center where he received the "Outstanding Intern Teacher Award" as well as the "Best Intern Award" voted on by his fellow residents. Following his internship, he completed his residency in 2001. He was selected to serve as Chief Resident and served an extra year teaching medical students and residents at both Chandler Medical Center and the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Dr. McClellan is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been in private practice with Community Medical Associates for the past 12 years. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Kentucky Medical Association, and the Greater Louisville Medical Society.
In addition to a busy private practice, Dr. McClellan has served as Chairman of Medicine for Norton Hospital from 2008-2014 and served on that hospital's Medical Executive Committee. During this tenure, he also served on Norton Healthcare's System Medical Executive Committee from 2010-2013. Dr. McClellan has a keen interest in medical informatics and served as a Physician Champion for Norton Healthcare's ambulatory rollout of its computerized medical record. He has also served as a physician advisor to the physician driven Doximity, a website designed to improve collaboration between all physicians. Dr. McClellan has an interest in rheumatological diseases, medical informatics, and pathophysiology.
Dr. McClellan grew up in Henderson, Kentucky, where his father is a retired general practitioner, serving his community for over 50 years. His father served as a role model and mentor and molded his son's strong work ethic. Dr. McClellan and his wife, Becky, have 3 children, Jack, Abby, and Katie.
Dr. Courtenay graduated from Bellarmine University with a BA in English. She earned her MD from the University of Louisville in 2004 and then completed a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency. During her time in residency, she earned both the Outstanding Resident Teaching Award and the Outstanding Continuity Clinic Resident Award.
Dr. Courtenay is board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics, by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics since 2008. She started her career in private practice doing traditional primary care, seeing patients of all ages, both in the office and in the hospital. She then joined Norton Community Medical Associates in 2015, continuing her goal of providing care to the entire family. Dr. Courtenay is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, The Kentucky Medical Association, and the Greater Louisville Medical Society. During her time at Norton Healthcare, she served on the Adult Primary Care Leadership Committee, and she completed the Physician Leadership Academy. Since 2009, she has continued her love of teaching by becoming Gratis Faculty for the University of Louisville Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency Program. She worked with each resident to develop their clinical skills, but always emphasized that caring for patients is a special relationship that is a great honor and privilege.
Dr. Courtenay has a special interest in adult preventative medicine and women's health. She is married to her husband, Erskine, and has two stepchildren, Will and Caroline. She also has two Goldendoodles, Posi and Siena. She avidly believes fitness and diet are essential to longevity and quality of life, so she plays tennis, spins on her Peloton, runs with her dogs, and she and her husband create healthy meals. Her other interests include; traveling, boating, and needle pointing.
Dr. Varga is board certified in internal medicine. He earned a B.A. in Biology from the University of Kentucky Honors Program, where he attended on a four-year tennis scholarship. He was elected into Phi Beta Kappa and awarded an academic All-American post-graduate scholarship in 1983. He received his M.D. from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1987. Dr. Varga completed his internship and residency in General Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville, where he became the Chief Medical Resident and Acting Director of Undergraduate Education.
Certified through the American Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Varga is one of the original founders, partner and member of the executive committee in Community Medical Associates, which specializes in Internal Medicine. He continues to be an Associate Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville.
His appointments have included being elected as the two-term President of the Louisville Society of Internists and serving as Medical Director at Doctors Rehab & Physical Therapy, Hillcreek Subacute Care Unit and Hurstbourne Care Center, Board of Trustees Easter Seals, and University of Louisville Alumni Association.
A member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Internal Medicine, Dr. Varga has authored and published several research articles, as well as written for local fitness magazines, such as Kentuckiana Health & Fitness.
Dr. Varga continues a family commitment to internal medicine, as both his father and older brother are also internal medicine physicians. Dr. Varga continues to maintain an active lifestyle and has competed in several mini-marathons, marathons, duathlons, and triathalons. Dr. Varga and his wife Tracy have one son, Jack.
Dr. McIntyre graduated from the University of Louisville with a B.A. in Biology. Through the Alpha Epsilon Delta honor society in college, she was fortunate to meet her mentor, who sparked her interest in medicine. She earned her M.D. from St. George's University School of Medicine, Grenada in 1999. This training enabled her to travel the world for course work in the Caribbean, and clinical rotations in the United Kingdom and New York City. She returned to her home state to complete her Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Louisville.
Dr McIntyre is board certified in Internal Medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. In 2002, she started her career with Norton Community Medical Associates. She worked outpatient private practice and inpatient at Audubon Hospital. She pursued further training in Obesity Medicine in 2008. She is one of the founders of the Norton Weight Management Program. She serves as a founding member and the President of the Bluegrass Obesity Society, a nonprofit organization. She has a passion for the field of Obesity Medicine and is an expert speaker in this area. In addition, she is a member of the Kentucky Medical Association, Greater Louisville Medical Society, and the Obesity Medical Association.
Dr. McIntyre practiced for over 21 years with Norton Healthcare. She is proficient in all areas of Internal Medicine. She values the patient-physician relationships she has developed over the years. She strives to provide personalized healthcare, with special interests in women's health, and preventative and integrative medicine.
She lives with her husband David and their dogs Rocco and Stella. She loves making memories with her nieces and nephews. She appreciates the importance of following a healthy diet and lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys hot yoga, gardening, creating pottery and travel.

Dr. Wheeler began his medical career with a B.S. in Chemistry from Centre College of Kentucky. He earned his M.D. from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1987. His internship and residency were completed in Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville, where he became the Chief Medical Resident and Acting Director of Undergraduate Education in 1990.
Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Wheeler has been in private practice since 1991 and was a founding member and partner in Community Medical Associates, which specializes in Internal Medicine. He has also been active in teaching as an Associate Professor of Medicine with the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association and American College of Physicians.
Dr. Wheeler has always enjoyed sports medicine and has maintained this interest through appointments as Chief Physician for the Kentucky Athletic Commission, team physician for World Wrestling Entertainment (formerly the WWF) and is active with the local Jockey's Association. He has also been team physician for the Louisville Icehawks, Louisville Riverfrogs, Louisville Shooters, and the Louisville Redbirds professional sports teams, as well as for the U.S.A. Amateur Boxing Association.
With numerous honors and awards, Dr. Wheeler was most recently named one of America's Top Physicians by Consumer Research Council of America. Dr. Wheeler has a keen interest in lipid disorders, hypertension, and preventative medicine.
Dr. Wheeler volunteers his time to Touched Twice medical ministry, which is made up of healthcare professionals that reach out to local underserved areas. Dr. Wheeler grew up in Ashland, Kentucky, where his father was a physician for over forty years. He and his wife Lee have three children, Kacey, Kaylee and Krista.
Dr. Williams is a native Kentuckian who received his B.A. in Biology from Western Kentucky University before attending the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. In 1997 he received his M.D., and stayed to complete a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, where he received the Outstanding Intern Teacher Award. He returned to his hometown of Hardinsburg before embarking on a career in Hospital Medicine as an Associate Professor of Medicine with the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Williams returned to Louisville in 2005 and has since served as medical director for the Hospital Medicine services at Jewish Hospital and Norton Brownsboro Hospital. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with Special Certification in Hospital Medicine and was twice named as one of Louisville's best Internal Medicine physicians in the "Top Docs" edition of Louisville Magazine. He is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society and Kentucky Medical Association as well as a Diplomate of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine.
After 21 years of hospital based practice, Dr. Williams is excited to apply his vast experience with complicated medical patients to an innovative practice that focuses on healthy lifestyles and prevention of disease. He looks forward to establishing long term relationships with patients and affording them the access to their primary care physician that has been lost in today's corporate medicine system.
Dr. Williams lives with his wife Alicia and their two English Bulldogs, Rocky and Lola. They have a daughter, Jaclyn, who is also studying medicine at the University of Cincinnati. He is a private pilot who, with his wife, enjoys traveling, hiking, and all things outdoors.

Dr. Loheide graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biology and the Biology Award from the University of Louisville. He then earned his M.D. from the University of Louisville in 1998, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and graduated Cum Laude. His residency in Internal Medicine was completed at the University of Louisville in 2001, where he earned numerous awards including "Most Outstanding Senior Resident."
Dr. Loheide is board certified in Internal Medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been in private practice with Norton Community Medical Associates since 2001 where he practiced with Dr. Varga and Dr. Wheeler through 2003. There he sharpened his expertise in preventative medicine, fitness, diabetes, hypertension, and lipid disorders. He also remained active in an education role by hosting medical students and residents in his office to help nurture an interest in private practice Internal Medicine.
In addition to a busy private practice, Dr. Loheide serves as Chairman of the Medical Review Committee for Norton Suburban Hospital. He remains a member of the Kentucky Medical Association, American Medical Association and Jefferson County Medical Society. His peers have voted him one of Louisville's Top Internal Medicine Docs. He is a frequent lecturer on lipids, hypertension, and diabetes.
Besides his interest in Internal Medicine, Dr. Loheide believes in practicing what he preaches with a keen interest in preventative medicine and running for fitness. He regularly competes in marathons, half-marathons, and 10-kilometer road races collecting several awards along the way. Dr. Loheide has twins, PJ and Sarah, age 8. Other interests include playing basketball, waterskiing, and traveling with his family.
Dr. Currie received his B.A. in Biology in 1992 and his Doctor of Medicine in 1996 from the University of Louisville. In 1999, he completed residency training in Internal Medicine at University of Louisville after being awarded the Excellence in Clinical Education Award by the medical students during his training.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Greater Louisville Medical Society. Dr. Currie is well-versed in all of areas of adult primary care medicine, with special interests in preventive medicine and cardiovascular disease.
After completing residency training in his hometown of Louisville, he and his wife relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for her training in pediatrics. There, Dr. Currie began his career in internal medicine in a busy multispecialty clinic. Upon returning home to Louisville with his family in 2005, he joined Norton Community Medical Associates in St. Matthews and later partnered with Kentucky One Health. He most recently received the Norton Healthcare Patient Experience award in 2016, signifying the highest patient satisfaction scores within the organization. After 17 years of practice, Dr. Currie has developed a passion for partnering with his patients to achieve the best possible health outcomes.
A native of Louisville, he was the founder, coach, and sole competitor of his high school swim team. He enjoys regular exercise, traveling with his family, and photography. He is married to Dr. Melissa Currie, a practicing subspecialist in Pediatrics with the University of Louisville. Together they have 3 school-aged children, 2 large dogs, and a smattering of pets with scales and shells.
