NETA

NETA (National Education and Training Academy) was founded in 2009 by Blue Beacon Investments 226 (Pty) Ltd. This flowed from a vision of Maranatha Streetworkers Trust who wanted to develop people in an aim to break the poverty cycle and to make them more employable. Maranatha teamed up with the HP Group of Companies which also saw the need for training and the development of skills in our country. Venture creation opportunities and training programs were investigated from 2005, when growing unemployment was increasingly highlighted by government. Training and Educating the Nation is one of the foremost challenges facing government. This challenge relates not only to the enormous backlog and diverse needs of the jobless, homeless and others who are inadequately trained, but also to the training environment itself which has many weaknesses.
