Abel D. Jarell

Dr. Abel Jarell is a practicing Dermatologist, Dermatopathologist, and Clinical Trials Investigator who grew up in New Mexico, USA. After obtaining his undergraduate education from the United States Military Academy at West Point where he was a Distinguished Cadet (top 5% academically) and his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, he subsequently completed a surgical internship at the University of Washington in Seattle. He then completed his dermatology training in the Harvard Dermatology Residency Program where he was Chief Resident and a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of California in San Francisco. He served out his military obligation at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, where he was an Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University and the medical director of the Melanoma and Pigmented Lesion Clinic. He is the author of numerous publications.

Alison Carpenter

Alison Carpenter was born and raised in North Yarmouth, Maine. She received her bachelors degree from Connecticut College in 2013. After graduation she moved to Boston to work for Tufts Medical Center in their Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. Alison received her Master of Medical Science degree from Tufts University to practice medicine as a physician assistant. After graduation, she joined Northeast Dermatology Associates. She currently practices medical and surgical dermatology with Dr. David Greenstein. Additionally, Alison provides online patient care through teledermatology and is certified to perform miraDry treatments for hyperhidrosis. In her free time, Alison enjoys spending time with her husband and family - skiing, hiking, and spending time on the water.

Anthony J. Aversa

Dr. Anthony Aversa was born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania. After graduating high school in 1973 he was accepted into a 6 year BS/MD program and graduated both Wilkes University and Hahnemann Medical University in 1979. He then trained as a resident in Internal Medicine at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. This was followed by a Dermatology residency at Geisirger Medical Center in Danville, PA. After completing his Dermatology training in 1984, he and his wife Colleen opened a Dermatology Practice in Concord, NH. In addition to his private practice, he proudly served as the Dermatology consultant for the N.H. State Prison system, the N.H. State Hospital and the Merrimack, Belknap and Carroll County Nursing Homes. He joined NEDA in 2017 and continues to work in their Concord office.

Christine Kannler

Dr. Kannler was accepted into the MMEDIC program as a college sophomore which awarded her early acceptance into Boston University Medical School. She received her medical degree and masters of public health degree from Boston University in 2000. After medical school she was board certified in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. Her internal medicine residency was completed at Boston Medical Center. She began her dermatology residency at Wright State in Dayton, Ohio. She was awarded the opportunity to act as co-chief resident of Dermatology as a second year resident at Wright State University. She transferred and completed her final year of dermatology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York in June 2006. After finishing her residency, she worked as a general dermatologist for a year before enrolling in a Mohs fellowship with Dr. Donald Grande, a leading Mohs surgeon, in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Dr. Kannler concluded her Mohs Micrographic surgery fellowship in July 2008 after assisting on over a thousand Mohs Micrographic surgery cases. She is an active member in the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) and the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. Dr Kannler has served on various AAD Task Forces and the AAD Leadership Forum since her graduation from residency. She also served as the President of the New Hampshire Society of Dermatology. She is a recipient of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Resident Fellowship and the Women's Dermatological Society Mentorship Program. Currently she practices Mohs Micrographic surgery in North Andover, MA, in Manchester, NH and Bedford NH. When she is not working she loves traveling, hiking, reading, spending time with her family and running around with her daughter and son.

Dr. Allison Goddard

Dr. Allison Goddard grew up in Kansas. She graduated from University of Massachusetts with a B.S. in Psychology. Prior to entering medical school, she spent one full year as a volunteer surgical assistant in Ecuador, South America. She then attended the Saba University School of Medicine, graduating with the Award for Clinical Excellence. She completed dermatology residency at the Loyola University School of Medicine Division of Dermatology, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She then went on to complete a clinical fellowship in Cutaneous Oncology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston MA. She has authored several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has given numerous lectures at national meetings. In her free time, she loves to spend time being active outdoors.

Dr. Brian Lester

Dr. Brian Lester is a graduate of the Yale School of Medicine and is a board certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. After graduating from the Yale School of Medicine in 2001, Dr. Lester completed his residency training at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Lester is a past member of the Board of Directors of SkinPAC, the political action committee for the American Academy of Dermatology and has traveled to Washington D.C. to meet with congressmen, senators, and their staffs to lobby on behalf of patients and the specialty. Dr. Lester is also a past member of the American Academy of Dermatology Delegation to the American Medical Association (AMA), where he has represented the interests of patients and the specialty to the House of Medicine. Dr. Lester lectures nationally to resident and attending physicians. He is a member of multiple professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Medical Association. Additionally, Dr. Lester serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Brienne Cressey

Dr. Brienne Cressey is board certified in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatology. She was born and raised in Maine. She attended Tufts University School of Medicine and graduated with top honors as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and with Research Honors. She also completed her Master in Business Administration degree with a focus on healthcare management. She completed her intern year at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Her residency training in Dermatology was completed at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Cressey continued her training with a prestigious fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Facial Reconstruction, Lasers and Cosmetics with Dr. Nathaniel Jellinek. Dr. Cressey has over twenty-five peer-reviewed publications in major academic journals such as Dermatologic Surgery, Journal of Surgical Education and Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, has written multiple book chapters and has given numerous lectures at national and international meetings.

Elizabeth J. McLeish

Elizabeth grew up in Falmouth, MA. She graduated from Stonehill College in 1992, majoring in Biology, and earning Stonehill's Hemingway Award for being the top scholar receiving a Bachelor of Science degree. She attended Northeastern University and in 1997 received her Physician Assistant Certificate and Master of Health Professions. She has been working in the field of dermatology since then. Elizabeth has been awarded Diplomate status by the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. The Diplomate title reflects a Physician Assistant's utmost dedication to the dermatology profession and is the highest honor available as a Dermatology PA. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys reading, gardening, walking her greyhound, travelling to new places and spending time with her husband and two kids.

Haley Callahan

Haley Callahan, PA-C is a board-certified, dermatology-trained physician assistant. She was born and raised in Massachusetts. She graduated from Endicott College with her Bachelor of Science in Biology. While awaiting acceptance into Physician Assistant school, Haley worked for Northeast Dermatology Associates as a medical assistant where she discovered her passion for dermatology. She then went on to attend Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University where she earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies. After successfully completing an intense program and graduating, she returned to dermatology to provide patient-centered care to community members. Haley previously worked at The Dermatology Center of Worcester but has since returned to Northeast Dermatology. Haley has a special interest in skin cancer detection and cosmetic dermatology. She continues to educate herself in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Haley has completed advanced training in botox and fillers. She is also a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistant, which offers additional dermatology education. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring local restaurants and breweries, and spending quality time with her dog, Chance. Haley is accepting new patients. She is excited to be able to provide care to all patients and assist those who may have cosmetic needs.

Heidi Mullen

Heidi Mullen, DO, FAAD, FAOCD, was born and raised in Southern California where she enjoyed spending time making sandcastles at the beach, fixing up cars with her dad, and backpacking in the Sierra Nevadas with her family. After graduating from University of California San Diego with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, she was recruited by a local biotechnology firm, where she enjoyed building customer relationships and bringing novel pharmaceuticals to Phase I-III clinical trials. Ever the adventurer, during this time she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro with her family, making it to the summit just as the sun was rising. Ever since she was a child, she always knew she wanted to become a physician, and ultimately achieved her dream when she matriculated at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Even as a first-year medical student, she had a passion for skin and volunteered at many skin cancer awareness events throughout the Valley of the Sun. She was awarded entrance to Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Medical Society as a third-year medical student. She matched into Dermatology at HonorHealth in Phoenix, one of the largest healthcare systems in Arizona, after spending her internship year in general surgery at a Level I trauma center as well as the Arizona Burn Center, serving third degree burn patients from the Southwest United States. She had the honor to serve as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Mullen lives along the Seacoast with her husband and preschool twin boys. When she is not working, her favorite past time is spending time with them and her beloved extended family in Arizona.

Heidi Sauer

Heidi grew up in New Hampshire. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biology and minor in chemistry at Notre Dame College. She went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She is certified by the NCCPA and an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, yoga and running.

Jennifer A. Stead

Dr. Jennifer Stead is a board-certified Dermatologist and Dermatological surgeon. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She attended Pennsylvania State University for her undergraduate degree (B.S. in biology and genetics) and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for her medical degree. Her residency training in Dermatology was completed at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. She has presented at both local and national professional meetings and has authored many academic publications. Dr. Stead specializes in cosmetic, general, and surgical dermatology. She believes in establishing a strong relationship based on trust. Dr. Stead is patient-centric and enjoys continuity of patient care from clinical dermatology to anti-aging and skin enhancements. She is particularly focused on procedures in Aesthetic Dermatology such as: non-surgical facial lifting with lasers, botox, and skin fillers. Dr. Stead has a passion for continual learning and regularly attends industry meetings and continuing medical education symposiums to bring the highest quality care back to her patient population. Outside the practice, Dr. Stead enjoys spending time with her husband and three children travelling, skiing, biking, and spending time on the beach with friends.
