The Northern New England Cardiovascular Disease Study Group (NNECDSG), is a regional voluntary consortium founded in 1987 to provide information about the management of cardiovascular disease in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont... The NNECDSG maintains registries for all patients receiving coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), heart valve replacement surgery, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and other sturctural heart procedures. During the last thirty years, data on >190,000 procedures were collected and analyzed. The group meets twice a year to review data reports and to plan studies. They have published over 120 peer-reviewed articles... Members include cardiothoracic surgeons, interventional cardiologists, operating room and cardiac ICU nurses, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, administrators, and scientists associated with six institutions in northern New England.
