NOVITA - Key Persons
Brandon Booker has extensive experience in lighting and audio design, consulting and installation for theatres, churches and other venues. He is also well-versed as a recording engineer and audio master. Before joining Novita, Mr Booker was the Technical Theatre Consultant for the creation of the Theatre on the River Park in Columbus, Georgia, where he then became Technical Director, and taught undergraduate classes in technical theatre.
Mr Booker received his MFA in Theatre Design and Technology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and his BA in Theatre from Graceland University.
Brandon enjoys working with his hands, and is usually building something in his free time if he's not enjoying nature through activities such as kayaking.
As Managing Principal, David Jolliffe is involved in every project. After joining Novita as a system designer in 1990, he became a Partner in 1997. David oversees staff work such as system design, ensures program requirements are met and that projects remain within budget, and coordinates information with other design team members.
Mr. Jolliffe's expertise has been developed through working on hundreds of diverse projects, such as live performance theatres, amphitheatres, lecture halls and smart classrooms, conference and convention facilities, and boardrooms and meeting rooms.
He is a member of the American Society of Theatre Consultants and the Professional Audio Engineering Society. He has continued to add to his knowledge through courses offered by the Entertainment Services and Technology Association, the United States and Canadian Institutes of Theatre Technology, Syn-Aud-Con and InfoComm.
David has written for such publications as Professional AV and Professional Lighting and has reviewed ESTA industry whitepapers since 2005.
In his free time, he enjoys sailing, volleyball, skiing, and other sports, often with the involvement of his family.
David was educated at the University of Guelph.

James Boutilier is responsible for conceptual design and quality control of the design of the audio and video systems. He also supervises the final commissioning of the systems.
James has been a senior designer at Novita since 1985. In this time, he has designed many live performance and AV presentation systems including sound reinforcement, monitoring, intercommunication, teleconferencing and videoconferencing and other electronic systems for all Novita's projects. Mr. Boutilier was educated at the University of Waterloo and the University of Toronto.
Sharon Jolliffe manages the administation and financial details of all of Novita's contracts. She also oversees HR and manages general finances and office operations.
