We're passionate about our community. Once a year, we donate our time and labor to support Chico Salmon Park in Bremerton, WA. This county-owned park is a great place to watch the salmon run in the fall, and has transformed over the last few years thanks to its committed volunteers. Our contributions include: cutting down blackberry, removal of ivy, clearing debris, helping to create better drainage, spreading mulch, and constructing a small fence to ensure safety while visitors view salmon in their natural habitat. Chico Salmon Park is open to the public year-round and is a great place to learn about native plants. We encourage you to watch the salmon run here in the fall!
Colby and Meeshka Brand are knowledgeable in their field and have always demonstrated a professional pride in their work. The office staff and work crews are also professional and courteous. Kitsap County native Colby Brand founded our company with his siblings Cami Tout and Courtnee Stevenson in 2009, during the Great Recession. His unwavering entrepreneurial spirit guided him through those first challenging years as a small business owner, which the Kitsap Sun wrote about here. Nearly a decade later, Colby and his wife, Meeshka, own and operate our company with a simple yet powerful adage at top of mind: take care of people and they will take care of you. Colby's enthusiasm for building the best team is matched only by his dedication to delivering clients an excellent product.
Meeshka Bernabe Brand is deeply committed to keeping clients informed, and monitoring and responding to their needs. She successfully manages our business operations, resulting in Green Industry Pros magazine highlighting our company as a "Landscape Industry Hidden Gem" in 2015 for "outpacing industry growth by focusing on unique business tactics, standing out from the competition and leading the charge on environmental stewardship." Meeshka's creative passions find expression in all of our marketing material and social media, and in the gardens that we design.
Shauna Keehn is often the first point of contact for potential clients and approaches all communication and working relationships with a service heart. It's not uncommon for her to step out of the office to lend a hand where it's needed, whether that's meeting with maintenance clients, managing crews in the field, or helping with a planting project. Shauna believes in our local community and contributes to its vitality through volunteer work and coordinating donations to the food bank. She's passionate about giving to those who are in need.
