For almost 50 years, the Office of Water Programs (OWP) at California State University, Sacramento (Sacramento State) has consistently delivered on its mission to provide cost-effective solutions for protecting and enhancing water resources, public health, and the environment through training, scientific research, and public education. OWP is a self-supporting campus center serving the water sector, Sacramento State, and the wider community... Our operator training group develops and implements programs and publishes training materials for operators of water treatment plants, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and municipal and industrial wastewater treatment and reclamation facilities. We also offer programs and publications for pretreatment facility inspectors, environmental compliance inspectors, and utility managers. All training is offered as distance learning, using correspondence, video, or computer-based formats with opportunities to earn continuing..
