Pact was originally established in 1952 as the Protestant Adoption Society to provide a domestic adoption service to the Protestant community. In 1978 our work was extended to include a non-denominational counselling service for unmarried pregnant women and in 1985 the adoption and counselling services were incorporated under the name ‘Pact'. In 1997, continuing our tradition of responding to need, we established our inter-country adoption service... Pact is accredited by the Adoption Authority of Ireland to provide a range of adoption services to families.
