Carolin Püschel

Carolin Püschel, LL.B. advises and defends companies and individuals in all areas of commercial and criminal tax law. A second focus of her work is advising companies on all compliance issues, in particular on questions of corruption prevention and whistleblower systems. She works in the firm's criminal tax law and compliance practice groups. During her law studies at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and at Santa Clara University (School of Law) in California (USA), Carolin Püschel specialized in the areas of commercial and criminal tax law. In addition to the First State Examination in Law, she also obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree (Legum Baccalaureus - LL.B.), which at Bucerius Law School requires, among other things, the successful completion of business, economics and English-language (legal) examinations. After her studies and parallel to her legal clerkship, Carolin Püschel worked as a research assistant at a chair for general criminal law, white-collar criminal law and philosophy of law (Bucerius Law School), in a medium-sized law firm specializing in white-collar criminal law and in two large law firms in the areas of white-collar criminal law, antitrust law and compliance. During her legal clerkship, which Carolin Püschel completed in the district of the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court, she also focused on commercial and criminal tax law. Among other things, she completed a training period in the department for general commercial criminal matters at the Hamburg public prosecutor's office and at the tax office for audit services and criminal matters in Hamburg. She spent one of her other training periods at the German Embassy in Singapore. A second focus of Carolin Püschel's work is in the area of compliance. Since 2014, she has been involved in the monthly Compliance news service published by C.H.Beck, of which she has been co-editor since 2021. In 2019, she furthermore successfully completed the "Bucerius Compliance Officer" training and certificate course. Before joining PARK | Wirtschaftsstrafrecht., Carolin Püschel worked as a lawyer in a medium-sized law firm in Hamburg specializing in commercial and criminal tax law for several years. This also included representing and advising individuals and companies in dawn raid situations, internal investigations and special banking audits in accordance with the German Banking Act. Carolin Püschel has been working as a lawyer at PARK | Wirtschaftsstrafrecht since February 2024. At the same time, she is working on her doctorate at Bucerius Law School. Carolin Püschel is a member of the Deutsche Strafverteidiger e. V. (DStV), the Wirtschaftsstrafrechtliche Vereinigung e.V. (WisteV), the AG Strafrecht im Deutschen AnwaltVerein e.V. Dr. Malte Cordes

Dr. Malte Cordes advises and defends i. a. private clients in the field of white collar and tax crime cases (recently in a tax evasion case regarding VAT fraud, fraud and breach of trust at the regional courts in Frankfurt, Essen, Kassel and Kiel). Besides, his main practice area is consulting and representing companies on criminal law related issues, in particular also after accidents or major damage events (e. g. "Germanwings Crash", "Bad Aibling Train Accident"). Moreover, he monitors internal corporate investigations - regularly with international ties. Dr. Marius Haak

Dr. Marius Haak defends individuals as well as national and international companies in all areas of White Collar Criminal Law, in particular in cases of corruption. Another focus of his work is advising companies on extensive internal investigations as well as on all compliance issues. Marius Haak studied Law at the University of Würzburg (focus on criminal law) and at the San Diego State University (focus on criminal justice). Subsequently, Marius Haak completed his PhD on an anti-corruption law topic and worked for a boutique law firm focused on White Collar Criminal Law in Düsseldorf and Essen as a research lawyer. After completing his 2nd state examination in 2017, Marius Haak was employed as a lawyer in the White Collar Criminal Law department of a major international law firm in Frankfurt am Main. Dr. Tobias Eggers

Tobias Eggers spezializes in Corporate Crime, mainly AML, international corruption and data protection offences. His clients include board members and CEOs of some of the most prestigious companies in Germany (Banks, Car Industry, public officials...). Fabian van Cleve

Prof. Dr. Mark Deiters

The main focus of Mark Deiters' work as a defence lawyer is on the field of white collar criminal law and law on corruption. He manages the practice group Public Sector at PARK and gives expert opinion on legal issues to bodies, companies, associations and individuals with the objective of a research-based and practical solution to avoid criminal liability. Deiters studied law in Bonn. Hereafter he obtained his doctoral degree and qualified as a professor at the University of Düsseldorf. Since 2006, Mark Deiters has been holding the Chair on Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure und Economic Criminal Law at the University of Münster. Prof. Dr. Tido Park defends and advises national and international companies on white collar criminal law, capital markets criminal law, law regarding fiscal offences and on compliance-related investigations. Tido Park studied law at the University of Bielefeld, where he received a doctorate degree in law in 1996. Since becoming a lawyer in 1998 he has specialised in white collar criminal defence. In 2001 Tido Park was awarded the qualifications of Specialist Lawyer in Criminal Law and Specialist Lawyer in Tax Law. He is a visiting lecturer at the University of Münster, where he was awarded the title of honorary professor in 2009. Tido Park is a member of the Commission on Criminal Law of the German Bar Association as well as being one of the editors of various law journals.
