Bradley J. Lorenzen

Dr. Bradley Lorenzen has provided comprehensive medical and post-operative eye care to the Greater Eugene Oregon community since 1991. Offering such quality and consistent care for over twenty-six years has afforded Dr. Lorenzen a unique ability to follow entire families through their eye care journey. Watching young adults become parents and in turn caring for their children is something that has given him great joy over the years, but also something he takes quite seriously. Since he was a young boy, Dr. Lorenzen has been drawn to the sciences. At an early age, he began shadowing his families optometrist in their clinic. It was there that he discovered the complexities of the eye and he knew he had found his niche in life. A short while later Dr. Lorenzen began his compelling career assisting people with their eye care needs. He continues his passion for science and eye care by staying on top of the latest techniques and treatments through reading and research as well as maintaining excellent relationships with his fellow doctors in Eugene and beyond. Bradley J. Lorenzen, O.D., a graduate of the Pacific University College of Optometry, offers patients comprehensive medical and postoperative care at Pacific ClearVision Institute. He is available for consultation and evaluation of cataracts, cornea transplants, glaucoma and other eye health needs. Dr. Lorenzen also performs LASIK evaluation and routine comprehensive vision examinations. He works closely with the surgeons of Pacific ClearVision Institute in the surgical care of patients, optimizing their visual outcome.

Dr. Alexandria Jernberg

Alexandria Jernberg, O.D. graduated from the Pacific University College of Optometry and went on to complete a variety of internships including the Roseburg VA, the Fort Washakie Indian Health Service, and the PeaceHealth hospital clinic. Dr. Jernberg provides annual vision and medical exams to our patients in both our Eugene and Cottage Grove locations. In addition, she will provide treatment and management of dry eye and glaucoma, as well as post-surgical care and continue to broaden her knowledge, treatment, and care of our patients.

Dr. Bala Ambati

At a very early age, Dr. Ambati gained a respect and admiration for those who work in the medical profession. Having spent months in a hospital at a young age, he experienced the compassion, dedication, and caring of skilled doctors and nurses. As he grew older the experience stayed with him with him so when it came time to choose a career path, medicine was a logical choice. Dr. Ambati earned his MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine at the age of 17, gaining the title of the world's youngest doctor, and then began his remarkable career of compassionate medical care. The choice of becoming an Ophthalmologist was an easy one for him. Dr. Ambati has been recognized for his teaching excellence by a University of Utah Resident Research Mentor Award, the Gold Humanism Award, and by serving as an Instructor at the Harvard Cataract Course. His community and overseas service is consistent and giving: he has conducted free eye screenings in New York, Georgia, and Utah, and served as a volunteer eye surgeon with ORBIS, SightLife, Sight for the Sightless, and Help Mercy International in Ghana, Zambia, India, Panama, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia. Dr. Bala Ambati is a cataract, laser eye surgery, and cornea specialist with 15 years of experience in clinical practice. After completing his ophthalmology residency at Harvard and a cornea & refractive surgery fellowship at Duke, he was Director of Cornea at Medical College of Georgia for 5 years, and most recently was Professor and Director of Cornea Research at University of Utah for 9 years and has now joined the Pacific Clear Vision Institute family.

Dr. Eric J. Niespodzany

Dr. Niespodzany is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received his Master's Degree at the University of Cincinnati and his Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Galveston. Though young and just beginning his career in Ophthalmology he brings a passion to eye care that we are very excited to share with our patients. From very early on in his life he was able to learn and appreciate what it is to use one's own hands and mind to help and heal and we are incredibly proud to have him as part of the PCVI Family!

Dr. Joseph Mando

Dr. Joseph Mando obtained his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and continued with a residency at the University of Kentucky and then a Fellowship at The University of Texas Southwestern. I would say that I was always interested in science and found biology incredibly intriguing so I wanted to establish a career in that realm. As a senior in high school, I was able to study a human cadaver and I became pretty fascinated with the idea of learning more about the human body at that time. From very early on in his life he was able to learn and appreciate what it is to use one's own hands and mind to help and heal and we are incredibly proud to have him as part of the PCVI Family!

Dr. Shelley Jelineo

Dr. Jelineo began her medical career receiving her Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2019. She went on to complete her Internship and residency at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio. Pacific ClearVision Institute is proud to have her join our family as our resident Fellow.

Eugene Chamber

Robin E. Bautista

Dr. Bautista became fascinated with Optometry when he got his first pair of eyeglasses at the age of seven. The idea that there was a solution to the problem of impaired vision fascinated him. This fascination continued through high school and college where he worked for a local optometrist learning the technical aspects of vision correction and vision problems. Robin E. Bautista, OD, a graduate of the Pacific University College of Optometry, then spent four years providing hospital-based eye health care in the United States Air Force, working closely with healthcare providers of all disciplines to enhance visual and overall health and performance and maintaining the high visual requirements of the pilots on the base. It was there he began to truly refine and hone his skills as an Optometrist. He has continued that service in the Oregon Air National Guard where he was recently promoted to Major. In addition to providing comprehensive medical eye examinations, Dr. Bautista served as Refractive Surgery Program Director and is experienced in post-operative LASIK care, fitting of specialty contact lenses, diagnosis, and management of ocular health conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eye. Eye care is an ever-changing profession where new techniques and equipment are consistently being introduced. Dr. Bautista enjoys these technical changes and stays up to date by attending industry conferences and current peer reviewed journals. He also enjoys the community that social media has afforded his profession. Through social media, he directly communicates with others in his profession and learns new trends and the very latest in eye care treatments and diagnostics. Additionally, Dr. Bautista is involved in local community groups and national organizations where he travels to provide eye care services to those who may not normally have access to quality eye care. A recent trip took him to Caruthersville, Missouri where he assisted over 1000 people with their eye care needs, many of whom where impoverished. Robin E. Bautista, OD, a graduate of the Pacific University College of Optometry, spent four years providing hospital-based eye health care in the United States Air Force, working closely with health care providers of all disciplines to enhance visual and overall health and performance. He is currently still working for the U.S. Air Force as a reservist. In addition to providing comprehensive medical eye examinations, Dr. Bautista served as Refractive Surgery Program Director and is experienced in post-operative LASIK care, fitting of specialty contact lenses, diagnosis, and management of ocular health conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eye.

Scott A. Cherne

Dr. Scott Cherne founded PCVI in 1989, and after 34 years in Eugene, moved to Texas in July 2023. He remains close with the doctors and staff of PCVI Scott A. Cherne, MD, a graduate of the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, has been practicing ophthalmology in Eugene, Oregon since 1989. He began his interest in surgical care observing his father, a general surgeon, at a young age. From him, he learned the dedication necessary to become a surgeon but he also learned the satisfaction such a profession can offer. With his warm smile to easy laugh, he has inspired confidence and compassion in his colleagues and patients since the very beginning. Eye surgeries involve hyper focus on the eye through complex microscopic lenses. From an early age, Dr. Cherne was interested in science projects, particularly those involving microscopes which allowed him to access a completely different world. It was a natural progression from those early projects to vision correction and eye care. Scott A. Cherne, MD, a graduate of the Loma Linda School of Medicine, began practicing ophthalmology in Eugene, Oregon in 1989. A board certified ophthalmologist, he pioneered the LASIK procedure in Oregon, being the first to perform the procedure in central and southern Oregon. Dr. Scott Cherne founded PCVI in 1989, and after 34 years in Eugene, moved to Texas in July 2023. He remains close with the doctors and staff of PCVI
