Kim Keys

Prior to co-founding Peninsula Law, Kim has practised law in New Zealand and Malaysia as a Barrister and Solicitor since 1986. She has worked for a number of law firms and also practised as a sole practitioner in Te Atatu Peninsula from 1997 to 2003. Kim has experience in most areas of general legal practice including corporate, commercial and conveyancing transactions, property development, company restructuring, commercial leasing, estates and family trusts. Kim is fluent in English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien and Hainanese. She enjoys working with people of different nationalities and cultures and has the ability to understand and relate to her clients at a personal level from all over the world. Kim spends considerable time in helping migrants settle in New Zealand by providing practical assistance and advice.

Monica Tan

Prior to her move to New Zealand in September 2003, Monica has been in legal practice in Malaysia since 1985. Monica was an in house lawyer in Malaysia with the banking sector for 5 years. During her remaining years in practice she handled matters relating to property transactions, business transactions, sale and purchase of shares, banking (both conventional and Islamic), corporate finance, shareholders agreements and joint ventures, cross border investments, venture capital and loan syndication. Monica was working with a legal firm in Henderson January since 2004 prior to the setting up of Peninsula Law in July 2010. During her time in New Zealand, Monica handled commercial matters, corporate and property transactions, family trusts, building contracts, mortgagee sales, agency agreements and property agreements. Monica now also handles immigration matters. Monica is fluent in English, Malay, Hokkien and Cantonese.
