PictureCode was founded by Dr. Jim Christian, a veteran computer scientist and amateur photographer. Jim has managed technical, creative, and cross-functional teams at early-stage and mid-sized software companies. He has direct experience in research, software development, product management, marketing, sales, and IP licensing. He has worked in diverse technical areas, including image processing, quantitative finance, electricity asset modeling, hybrid programming languages, artificial intelligence, and enterprise software; and he has published papers and articles covering a variety of technical and business topics. Jim holds an undergraduate degree in computer science from Harvard, and both a Ph.D. in computer science and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
