Paul McKean architecture is an architectural design studio located in Portland, Oregon. We work with clients who love design and enjoy the process of building. We believe that there is beauty in simplicity, and that good architecture improves lives and respects nature. Our designs tend to be simple, efficient and materials-driven. This approach lends itself to smaller homes that are cost-effective, durable and energy efficient... You will find most of our work in Portland and The Gorge / Mt Hood area. Our first project was a modest, modern retreat on Neal Creek, near Odell. Since then we have built six new homes up and down the Hood River valley, reaching across to White Salmon, and over to the Mosier highlands. Paul is registered in Oregon and Washington, is a member of the AIA, and is a LEED accredited professional.
