Dr. Michael Binette

Dr. Michael Binette has been practicing Veterinary Medicine in Maine since 1999. He was born and raised in Westbrook, and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1989. Dr. Binette then attended The University of New Hampshire where he graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science. Before attending The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Binette spent two years as a Veterinary Technician working in the Greater Portland area. Dr. Binette graduated from Purdue in 1999 where he received the Senior Medal for being the outstanding student in agricultural and animal sciences. Dr. Binette began his veterinary career in Norway in May of 1999 and worked there for many years. As a Senior Associate, he developed an incredible reputation as both an excellent clinician, a kind animal lover, and good friend to his clients. Dr. Binette joined the team at Poland Animal Hospital in March of 2016 and continues to grow a very long, loyal base of clients and their wonderful four legged family members. Dr. Binette has resided in South Paris since 2000, wh ere he happily lives with his wife Beth, and their three boys, Andrew, Nicholas, and Sam. Dr. Binette spends his free time attending his boys' many sporting events, enjoying time at the lake in the summer and skiing in the winter. Currently the Binettes share their home with cats Lila, Gronk, and Bill Belichick, and dog Mabel.

Dr. Stephen Maddox

Dr. Stephen Maddox grew up in southern Virginia and currently resides in Windham, Maine. He received an undergraduate degree from James Madison University and earned a DVM degree from St. George's University where he graduated Cum Laude in 2020. Dr. Maddox met his wife in Grenada while at SGU and she also practices veterinary medicine in southern Maine. Dr. Maddox did his clinical year training at the University of Wisconsin and previously worked at a reptile rescue as an animal keeper/educator. In addition to preventive care, his interests include reptile and amphibian medicine, and small animal internal medicine. In his free time, Dr. Maddox enjoys hiking, fishing, biking, camping both tent and RV, white water rafting, and eating delicious food of course! Dr. Maddox and his wife share their home with dogs Poppy, Hank, and Louise, and Coleman the cat.
