Prism Capital is a Chicago-based private equity firm currently in wind-down. Prism managed both the Prism Opportunity Fund, a growth equity fund, and the Prism Mezzanine Fund, a lower-middle market subordinated debt fund. Prism Opportunity Fund invested in 14 companies, including: SecurePipe, a digital security firm which merged with Trustwave; Celleration, a medical device company sold to Alliqua BioMedical; HighBeam Research, sold to Gale (part of Cengage Learning); SterilMed, sold to Great Hill Partners and Primus Capital; Banner Service Corp; and Fieldglass, sold to Madison Dearborn Partners.
