Project Second Act™ was created by a few dedicated volunteers in Chicago committed to advancing the economic success of women over 40. It was launched as a pilot project in 2007 in collaboration with U.S. Department of Labor Women's Bureau, The Transition Network and National-Louis University... As word on the Project has spread, primarily through women sharing with their friends, we continue to receive offers of assistance and new volunteers from additional organizations and women across metropolitan Chicago. We have also received requests for information on how to bring Project Second Act into other cities across the country... The Center for Positive Aging goal is to support the community, workforce and academy in responding to the needs of the aging population. The center offers lifelong learning programs, aging creatively seminars, intergenerational mentoring, and academic training for professionals in health careers, business, and counseling to understand and include older..
