Frank Risch became a Director of the company in August 2005. Risch joined Exxon Corporation in 1966 as a financial analyst in New York and subsequently held various positions in finance, planning, marketing and general management with ExxonMobil and its operating affiliates in the U.S. and abroad for nearly 38 years. He retired in July 2004 as Vice President and Treasurer (and Principal Financial Officer) of ExxonMobil. Gerardo Torres

Gerardo Torres serves as Vice President, Permian Completions, for Pioneer Natural Resources, a position he has held since September 2015. Torres' team is responsible for designing and completing the company's new horizontal wells with an emphasis on ensuring safe, environmentally sound wells that perform at maximum capital efficiency. Torres joined the company in 2005 as an Operations Engineer. In 2007, Torres was promoted to Completions Manager and, for the next seven years, he held positions of increasing responsibility within the Completions team before being named to his current leadership role. Pioneer currently drills in the Permian Basin of West Texas, and Torres also led completions in previous regions, including the Gulf of Mexico, South Texas, West Panhandle and Alaska. Prior to joining Pioneer, Torres worked for BJ Services, a pressure-pumping services provider. He served in several capacities and regions for the company, including South Texas, which served the Permian Basin; an international assignment supporting Pemex, which served the Burgos Basin; and the Dallas region, which served the Barnett Shale and East Texas. John C. Distaso

John Distaso was named Senior Vice President of Marketing in January 2019 and is responsible for commercial sales of products (crude oil, condensate, NGLs and natural gas) and downstream infrastructure planning to process, transport and fractionate products prior to final disposition. Distaso has 30 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Pioneer in June 2012 as Vice President of Marketing, he held senior executive and managerial trading and marketing positions at Mobil Oil Corporation for 15 years and similar positions at Apache and Devon Energy. Distaso was most recently with Deloitte, working for the Minister of Petroleum in the Republic of South Sudan to market 300 MBOPD of crude, resulting in the country's first $3 billion of oil revenues. Distaso has experience in physical and paper trading, term and spot negotiations, cargo tanker shipping, transportation pipelines, processing facilities and storage operations. His experience encompasses all aspects of mid-stream and downstream marketing, and he has led multiple domestic and international Marketing departments. Distaso received his Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University, a Bachelor of Science in Business from University of California Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from University of California San Diego.

As General Counsel, Kleinman is responsible for all aspects of Pioneer's legal function and supports the Pioneer Board of Directors. Kleinman began his career in 1986 as an associate with the Dallas-based law firm of Jackson Walker L.L.P. He served as Assistant General Counsel of Sterling Software, Inc., a NYSE company supplying computer software and services worldwide, from 1996 through its acquisition in 2000 by Computer Associates International, Inc., and as Vice President and General Counsel of Inet Technologies, Inc., a NASDAQ-traded global provider of communications software products, from 2000 through its acquisition in 2004 by Tektronics, Inc. Matthew M. Gallagher became a Director of the company in January 2021 through a merger with Parsley Energy, where he previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer. Scott D. Sheffield is an energy industry leader who played significant roles in the American shale revolution and lifting of the U.S. crude oil export ban. He currently serves as CEO of Pioneer Natural Resources, the company he helped found in 1997 and grew into what is today: the second-largest crude producer in Texas. The son of an ARCO executive, Sheffield attended high school in Tehran, Iran. After graduating from the University of Texas, he began his career as a reservoir engineer with Amoco Production Co. In 1979, Sheffield became the fifth employee of Parker & Parsley Petroleum Co. in Midland, Texas. By 1985, he was CEO of Parker & Parsley and became its chairman in 1991. Under Sheffield's leadership, Parker & Parsley merged with MESA, Inc. in 1997 to form Pioneer Natural Resources Co. He became the company's founding CEO and assumed the position of chairman of the board in August 1999. Sheffield retired from the company in 2016, but he returned as President and CEO in 2019, began serving as CEO in 2021 and continues to serve on the Board. Sheffield also serves as a director of The Williams Companies, Inc., a provider of large-scale infrastructure for natural gas and natural gas products, on the advisory board of the Center for Global Energy Policy at Columbia University and on the Energy Council of CSL Capital Management, LLC, a private equity firm. The Permian Basin Petroleum Association recently honored Sheffield as the recipient of its prestigious Top Hand award, which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership within the oil and gas industry and the Permian Basin community. He is also a 2013 inductee into the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum Hall of Fame, memorializing those whose achievements and outstanding contributions to the industry helped build the Permian Basin. Sheffield also received the Texas Oil & Gas Association's Distinguished Service Award, the ADL's Henry Cohn Humanitarian Award in Dallas, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Hope Award in Midland and the Frank Pitts Award for Energy Leadership from SMU. Sheffield is a distinguished graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering.

Stacy P. Methvin

Stacy Methvin became a Director of the company in July 2013. From 2011 until her retirement in 2012, Methvin was Vice President, Refining Margin Optimization, for Shell Oil Company ("Shell"). Stephanie D. Stewart - CIO, VP

Stephanie Stewart joined Pioneer Natural Resources in June 2014 as Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Ms. Stewart has more than 20 years of information technology experience in the energy industry. Before joining Pioneer, she served as Vice President of E&P Data and Analytics and Strategic Integration at the end of her 12-year tenure at Devon Energy. Prior to Devon, she worked at Williams Energy for four years and BP Amoco for three years. In her current role, Stewart is responsible for the Information Technology (IT) organization, ensuring IT alignment with business strategy and providing innovative technical solutions. She is also a member of Pioneer's Management Committee. Stewart earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and has her Executive MBA in Energy from the University of Oklahoma's Price College of Business. She participates as an Executive Advisory Member for Price College of Business and is an Advisor Member for the University of Oklahoma Energy Institute. Stewart serves on the Board of Directors for Dallas CASA.

Tadd Owens

In September 2014, Tadd Owens was named Vice President, Communications and Government Relations for Pioneer Natural Resources. Owens is responsible for corporate communications oversight in addition to managing the company's government affairs activities in Washington, D.C., and in the states in which Pioneer operates. Owens previously served as Vice President, Government Affairs, for one year after serving for three years as Director, Government Affairs, where he managed the company's government affairs work in Texas. He joined Pioneer in November 2006 as Director, Government & Public Affairs, for the company's Alaska division. Prior to joining Pioneer, he served for six years as the Executive Director of the Resource Development Council for Alaska, Inc., an Alaska business association representing the oil and gas, mining, timber, tourism, and fisheries industries.
