PYROTECH - Key Persons
Jim (e-mail) is an experienced executive with a solid record of proven accomplishment in sales and marketing coupled with a firm background in international finance and operations.
For over 30 years, Jim has established and directed the marketing and sales operations for a number of national and international established and start-up companies. In the 80's, he achieved the highest level of sales on record for the nation's largest, permanent, specialty crop developer, eventually resulting in the company's buyout from Europe's largest farming operation.
Prior to his sales experience, Jim was a financial director for IBC of Geneva Switzerland. He opened and operated an international division of the company in France, and was responsible for the financial operations of 36 world-wide operating companies.
Jim served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for PyroTech at it's inception in 1991, crafting the marketing focus and developing the account base for the Company. Jim assumed the Presidency of PyroTech (Fire Management Systems, Inc.) in August of 2001.

) brings more than 40 years of varied work experience to his current position at PyroTech. He began his work life as a retail manager at the age of 17. After completing his Associate's Degree in Graphic Arts, he worked in layout and design in the printing industry. Once an electrician on major motion pictures - including Backdraft and The Untouchables - his experience as Best Boy provided excellent training in managing personnel and equipment, requirements which changed on a daily basis. Jim also has extensive experience in the home repair and home inspection fields. He began work at PyroTech in 2011 as a production assistant. In 2013, he was promoted to plant manager. Jim's can-do attitude and hands-on approach to his work ensures that your inquiries and orders are handled efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Jim lives in nearby Glen Ellyn with his wife and two children. A volunteer who works with youth at his church, Jim also enjoys camping and fishing. He is currently training to be a merit badge counselor for Boy Scouts of America.

In January of 1990, Roger Youngs and a partner purchased the assets of the flame retardant business from Jefferson Smurfit and formed FRC Technologies. PyroTech purchased FRC Technologies in 1997.
