Mrs. Ramirez was born and raised on the Northwest side of Chicago. Born to Mexican parents, Mrs. Ramirez is fluent in Spanish and fully embraces her Mexican heritage. Mrs. Ramirez attended Lane Tech High School in Chicago and obtained her B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Although Mrs. Ramirez worked full-time throughout college, it wasn't until she got a temporary job at a large international law firm where her interest in law took off. What was supposed to be a 2-week project turned into a full-time job as a Conflict of Interest Analyst. Along with her husband and son, Mrs. Ramirez, moved to Northwest Indiana and attended Valparaiso University School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate. However, while in law school Mrs. Ramirez's family grew once more with the addition of her second child. Upon the successful passage of the Illinois Bar, Mrs. Ramirez began her career as a licensed attorney working for a small firm in Chicago where she handled cases relating to family law, criminal law, civil litigation, forcibles and real estate.
