Dr Aakash Mahajan

Dr. Mahajan worked as a consultant with Queensland X-ray for 3 years before moving to Canberra in 2017 and has been associated with UMI since then. Dr Adrian Khoo

Dr Allen Ko

Allen received his medical degree from UNSW in 2004 and obtained his FRANZCR while training in the South East Sydney Health District, mainly at St George Hospital before a Fellowship year at Prince of Wales Hospital in 2015 with a focus on neurological and body MRI. He has spent a short time in public hospital and private radiology practices in south east Sydney and Wollongong prior to joining Alpenglow mainly to service its Hunter New England sector. His subspecialty interests include neuroradiology and body imaging, as well as image-guided spinal and musculoskeletal intervention.

Dr Andrew Csillag

Dr Andrew Csillag is a dually qualified radiologist and nuclear medicine specialist. Andrew completed his medical training and two years of residency on the Gold Coast before returning to his hometown of Sydney as a senior resident in nuclear medicine. He then completed his core radiology training at Concord Hospital in Sydney, and undertook further specialisation training in nuclear medicine at St. George Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital. Andrew has a broad interest in radiology and nuclear medicine with a special interest in PET-CT.

Dr Anthony Grattan-Smith

Dr Anthony Grattan-Smith trained at the Royal North Shore Hospital. He then became a staff specialist at Prince of Wales, before working for a private practice in Sydney. Upon moving to the Southern Highlands in 1995/96, Dr Grattan-Smith began working with South East Radiology. Dr Grattan-Smith is a Radiologist of the SER Practice and has developed a close working relationship with many of the doctors in the Southern Highlands area.

Dr Arash Moghaddam

Dr Arash Moghaddam (MBBS, FRANZCR) has been a Radiologist with Qscan Radiology Clinics since July 2013. Arash studied at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran, graduating in 2002. His post graduate radiology training was undertaken at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, followed by a further one year of postgraduate fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at Qscan Radiology Clinics in 2013-14. Arash has been also working part time at the Prince Charles Hospital where he is actively involved in registrar training and several research projects. His subspecialty interests include musculoskeletal radiology, sports medicine, image-guided musculoskeletal injections, and abdominal and pelvic MRI.

Dr Aziz Osman

Dr Aziz Osman (BSc, MBBS, FRANZCR) was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland in 2007. Previous to this he completed a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Queensland, graduating in 2003 with majors in Biomedical science and Pharmacology. His post graduate training in Radiology was undertaken at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane. Aziz Completed a fellowship in Cross-sectional Radiology with a special interest in Oncology Imaging at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2014. Following this, he completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging with a special interest in Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal intervention at Qscan Radiology Clinics in 2015. Aziz is currently a Radiologist at Qscan Radiology Clinics. His subspecialty interests include Musculoskeletal Radiology, Sports Medicine, Magnetic Resonance imaging (MRI) and image-guided Musculoskeletal Injections.

DR BRENDAN ADLER

Brendan completed three fellowships in Radiology, having graduated in Medicine with Honours from the University of Western Australia in 1985. Subsequently, Brendan completed advanced fellowships in Thoracic Radiology, focusing on interstitial lung disease, and Musculoskeletal Radiology and Intervention at Vancouver General Hospital in 1991-1993. On return to Perth, Brendan commenced appointments as a consultant radiologist at Royal Perth Hospital and as a specialist radiologist at SKG Radiology, acquiring experience in a broad range of investigations and procedures in addition to his specialist interests. In 2006, Brendan moved to Paris, France and completed a Cardiovascular Imaging fellowship in 2008 at the Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital with particular interest in Cardiac MRI and Coronary CTA. Brendan was awarded the 2006 RANZCR Rouse Fellowship for this purpose. Brendan joined Envision in May 2009 and took over the position of CEO in October 2011. Brendan has been active in College affairs, continues to have a research interest in interstitial lung disease and is an author of at least 25 peer-reviewed articles.

Dr Brett Napier

Dr Brett Napier obtained his medical degree from the University of Sydney and trained as radiologist at John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle. Prior to his medical career he worked both as a radiographer and sonographer. Dr Brett Napier is a Radiologist at South East Radiology, primarily based in Nowra and Kiama.

Dr Brian Carey

Dr Cameron Napper

Dr Cameron Napper completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland in 2006 following completion of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement Studies with Honours (Ex. Sci.). His specialty Radiology training was based at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, and he then completed a subspecialty fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging with Qscan Radiology Clinics in 2014. This fellowship was focused on Dr Napper's areas of keen interest: Musculoskeletal Radiology and particularly magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Sports Medicine, and imaging guided Musculoskeletal injections. Since working with Qscan Radiology Clinics, Dr Napper has been heavily involved in the treatment of many elite and professional athletes. His background in Human Movement Studies as well as personal experience as a long time amateur athlete have provided an extensive understanding of sports related injuries, their treatment and unique return to training/competition pressures that are part of elite and professional athletes' careers.

Dr Candice Sagi

Dr Candice Sagi obtained her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2009. She underwent specialist radiology training from 2012-2017 at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, with subsequent fellowship training in MRI at the Gold Coast University Hospital in 2018. Candice joined the Qscan Radiology Clinics team in 2022. As a general consultant radiologist, she provides a broad variety of diagnostic care for patients in the community, with particular areas of interest in neuroimaging and women's imaging. She also performs ultrasound and CT guided minimally invasive procedures. Candice is also dedicated to the training of radiology registrars and medical students through her appointment at the Gold Coast University Hospital. Candice is committed to delivering the highest quality of care to our patients, and establishing solid relationships with the medical practitioners who care for them.

Dr Cara Odenthal

Dr Cara Odenthal (FRANZCR, MPhil, MBBS) has been a member of the Qscan team since 2020. Cara completed a hybrid fellowship in abdominal imaging in 2020 under the mentorship of Dr Stephen Drew, with a particular emphasis on gynaecological and breast MRI. In addition to abdominal and pelvic imaging, Cara maintains a keen interest in head and neck imaging and breast imaging. Cara is a founding member of the weekly Brisbane North Private Head and Neck Oncology Multidisciplinary Team Meeting. When not working with the Qscan team, Cara also holds an appointment with BreastScreen Queensland and the Wesley Breast Clinic. Before embarking upon a career in medicine, Cara received undergraduate qualifications to become a radiographer at the Queensland University of Technology. During her undergraduate studies, she was a recipient of the Mitsui Education Foundation Scholarship. She completed postgraduate medical studies at the University of Queensland in 2011, followed by internship and residency at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. In 2012, she was awarded the CMORE House Officer Research Award, and spent 6 months in a full-time research position. Cara has completed a Master of Philosophy, investigating brain volume loss in patients with early multiple sclerosis and radiologically isolated syndromes.

DR CARLY SIMPKINS

Carly completed her medical degree in the UK and graduated in 2003 from the University of Wales College of Medicine. She then completed Basic Surgical Training and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (UK) in 2006. Carly commenced radiology training on the South West Peninsula scheme in 2007 and became a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (UK) in 2011. She first worked in Perth as a Radiology Registrar in 2009 for one year and then made the permanent move to Perth in January 2012. Carly became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in January 2014. She joined Envision in February 2014 and has specialist interests in Paediatric and Cardiac Radiology.

Dr Carolyn Keith

Dr Carolyn Keith graduated with an MBBS from the University of Queensland in 1997 and completed her Radiology training at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney after a research fellowship at Southern X-ray at the Wesley Hospital. Dr Keith has over 10 years experience working in a mix of Public Hospitals/Private Practice and is Breast Screen Accredited. Dr Keith's special interests are Breast Imaging, abdominal imaging including MRI (MR enterography, Liver, Pancreas & MRCP), oncology and she has had extensive exposure and experience in Neuroradiology. She has had multiple publications in peer-review journals and conference presentations. Dr Keith has joined the Qscan team as a Radiologist working in Sydney and providing tele-radiology support to the Qscan Group.

Dr Chung Mo Koo

Dr Chung Mo Koo is a Dual Trained Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine specialist. Chung Mo obtained his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed his core radiology training in South Australia. He was based at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and rotated through Flinders Medical Centre, Women's & Children's, Royal Darwin and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals. He then undertook subspecialty training in Breast Imaging at Royal North Shore Hospital and BreastScreen NSW. He completed further specialist training in Nuclear Medicine at St. Vincent's Hospital Sydney and Royal North Shore Hospital. Chung Mo was admitted to the Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) and the Fellowship of Australasian Association of Nuclear Medicine Specialists (FAANMS). He speaks fluent English, Korean and basic German.

Dr Conrad Jackson

Outside the field of diagnostic radiology, Dr Jackson enjoys activities such as scuba diving, exploring hiking trails and spending time with his loyal Labrastaff companion, Henry. Driven by a commitment to comprehensive care, his clinical interests encompass various realms of diagnostic radiology, with a focus on neuroradiology, abdominal, and musculoskeletal specialties. Dr Jackson has commenced his appointment with Qscan Group, working as a Radiologist at Qscan North Hobart.

Dr Dalveer Singh

Dalveer (MBBS (Hons), FRANZCR, FAANMS) is a dual trained Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist. Dalveer grew up in Queensland and graduated from the University of Melbourne with First Class Honours and prizes in Surgery, Medicine and Ophthalmology. He returned to Brisbane for residency and completed radiology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Dalveer developed a particular interest in Molecular Imaging early on in his specialty training whilst working with expert radiologists. He subsequently completed a fellowship at the world leading Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, where he gained further experience in cancer imaging using advanced PET and functional imaging techniques and non-invasive radionuclide therapy for cancer (theranostics). Dalveer has broad research interests and holds an academic appointment as Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. His numerous publications and presentations in peer reviewed journals and international meetings include neuroimaging, head and neck, prostate and chest imaging topics. On a day to day basis Dalveer enjoys seeing patients and general intervention procedures.

Dr Damian Jiang

Dr Damian Jiang obtained his medical degree at the University of Otago in Christchurch. Dr Jiang continued to work in Christchurch, before returning to Australia in 2004 to complete his internship at the Canberra Hospital. Upon returning to Christchurch Damian went on to complete a Fellowship in MRI / Sports Imaging. In 2015, Damian completed an Advanced Oncology Fellowship in 2015 at the Peter Mac Oncology Centre. Dr Jiang works out of the Southern highlands and has a special interest in MRI and Oncology. Damian continues to drive our standards in MRI.

Dr David Kennedy

Dr David Leggett

Dr David Leggett (MBBS, FRANZCR) has been a Radiologist at Qscan Radiology Clinics since August 2006. David graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993 and completed his internship and residency at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. David trained in Diagnostic Radiology at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, completing the RANZCR specialist college of radiology examinations in 2001. In 2002 and 2003 David undertook a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, USA. Additional fellowship training in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging was undertaken at the Prince Charles Hospital during 2002. Interventional Neuroradiology training was completed at the RBWH in 2005. David has been employed as an Interventional Radiologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital since August 2003. He set up the Interventional Neuroradiology Service at the PAH and continues to serve at PAH as a Senior Medical Officer. David's subspecialty interests include all aspects of Interventional Radiology, imaging and intervention of the liver, particularly pertaining to the diagnosis and percutaneous treatment of hepatocellular cancer, Cardiovascular Radiology including CT and MR angiography and the endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms and vascular lesions. David is a keen conference participant including local and international presentations, and plays an active role in registrar teaching and imaging research.

Dr David Simpson

Dr David Simpson (MBBS, FRANZCR) completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1992, followed by his Internship at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. David completed his Specialist Radiology training at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in 2000. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the University of Toronto Canada incorporating The Western Princess Margaret and Mt Sinai Hospitals in 2000 and 2001. The Musculoskeletal Radiology fellowship included all imaging modalities with a particular interest in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). His training encompassed all aspects of musculoskeletal pathology including sports injuries, degenerative and inflammatory processes and bone and soft tissue tumours. He has had journal articles published in Radiology and the Canadian Journal of Surgery. David returned to Brisbane in 2001 and has been working as a private radiologist in both hospital and non hospital radiology clinics since. DR EAMON KOH

Eamon is passionate about imaging guided diagnosis and treatment of sports imaging and soft tissue injuries and started Western Australia's first dedicated sports imaging and occupational injury service at Envision in 2008. He has worked extensively with state and national Australian athletes, including the Australian and Western Australian Cricket teams, the Fremantle Dockers, and Australian and Western Australian Institute of Sports (AIS and WAIS) athletes. This includes involvement in innovative sports medicine research on lumbar and pubic bone stress injuries, chronic calf injury and bowler's side strain injury. He also provides imaging services for visiting national and professional sports teams. Through his time in elite sports and rehabilitation, Eamon has developed expertise in soft tissue injury diagnosis and management. He has published his experience in innovative treatment for muscle, tendon and nerve injuries in leading peer-reviewed radiology and anatomy journals. This includes special interests in, and publication of, research on the use of ultrasound guided platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections, neurolysis, soft tissue adhesiolysis and Botox injections for treatment of difficult tendinopathies, chronic calf injury and nerve entrapment syndromes including deep gluteal syndrome and neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome

Dr Erin Bamford

Prior to commencing medical training, Erin completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Science) at Queensland University of Technology in 2002 and Master of Physiotherapy Studies at University of Queensland in 2005. She worked as a Physiotherapist for 10 years with an interest in Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. Erin obtained her medical degree at Griffith University in 2014, graduating with distinction and receiving the Dean's Medallion for Academic Excellence and the Anatomy Prize. She completed her internship, residency, and radiology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Erin commenced with Qscan as a musculoskeletal fellow in February 2022, where she will be working alongside the musculoskeletal sub-specialty doctors in South East Queensland.

Dr Gary Shepherd

Dr Gary Shepherd (MBBS, FRANZCR, BVsc) completed his Medical Degree at the University of Queensland in 2000 graduating with First Class Honors and was awarded a University Medal for Scholastic Achievements. Previous to this he completed a Veterinary Degree at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1996. Gary's internship was completed at the Gold Coast Hospital in 2001, and this was followed by a position as a Registrar in Orthopaedics and Intensive Care in 2002-2003. Gary is currently working as a private radiologist in Qscan Radiology Clinics. His subspecialty interests include Musculoskeletal Radiology, Sports Medicine, Magnetic Resonance imaging (MRI) and image guided Musculoskeletal Injections. Gary is actively involved in radiology education and lectures and has been Co-Covenor for the QLD Annual Scientific Meeting of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in 2012 and 2013.
