The Research Industrial Systems Engineering (RISE) Forschungs-, Entwicklungs- und Großprojektberatung GmbH (RISE as in "sun-rise") is an international IT consulting, software development and service company. RISE was created as a spin-off of the TU Vienna and concentrated exceptional "peopleware". The key players of the team have gained more than 25 years experience in IT operations, software development and IT project management. RISE planned, managed and guided some of the most challenging IT projects in Austria and other countries, including the establishment of the Austrian e-card infrastructure (2.5 years implementation period, completed in time&budget). Another outstanding project was the first successful NFC-VDV implementation in Europe for mobilkom and ÖBB in 2005, the at that time biggest IT project in Europe with a 2 billion total budget.
