RICHARD L JOHNSON ASSOCIATES - Key Persons
Char handles all of the office administrative needs. Char has been with the firm since 1999. Char manages all aspects of the bidding documents for contractors, as well as shop drawing processing and documentation.
In her free time, Char enjoys Zumba, time spent with her 5 grandchildren, and a game of golf.
Don has been an architect for over 40 years. He keeps up to date on the latest innovations to provide accurate information for our specifications as chief specifications writer. Don has worked for RLJA since 1999.
He enjoys spending time with his children, grandchildren and is the Financial Secretary for the Saint Ambrogio Society in Rockford.
Julie has worked alongside Dick at RLJA since it was founded in 1981. Julie is responsible for all the accounting at the office.
In her free time, Julie enjoys singing, bowling, bridge and time spent with her grandchildren.
Mike is our Lead CAD Designer. He started out of college making blueprints at a local drafting firm and then started drafting home plans and shop drawings for local companies. He worked with mechanical drawings for seven years before joining RLJ. Mike has worked at RLJ since 2005.
In his free time, he enjoys music and playing drums.

Scott is a firm principal and directs many of the firm projects from start to finish. Scott strives to complete every project on time and on budget.
Scott likes to golf, fish and enjoys spending time with his family. He is a board member for the Mill Foundation.
Scott Johnson, firm principal, will work with you, our client, to develop each of your projects from start to finish. Our past and present clients have been impressed with Scott's skill and personal attention to their project needs.
Sharon Rose is the creative force making sure your final project is as beautiful inside as it is functional and sound in design. Sharon has a passion for developing and finalizing outstanding interiors from finishes to furniture. Clients are continually impressed with Sharon's professional attention to their needs and with the final look of their project. Sharon has worked for RLJ since 1999.
Sharon is an artist in her free time, loves to flower garden, read, and keep up with her two feisty beagles.

Terry is a firm principal and will likely prepare bidding documents for your next project. He has been utilized as a project manager and construction administrator for numerous addition and remodeling projects. He has worked at RLJ since 1996 and has been an owner since 2008.
Terry Carbaugh, firm principal, serves our clients as project manager and coordinates most projects with our in-house staff and consultants.
