SESD is in a battle to retain the territory it has served for 111 years. If the battle stretches on, or other providers take over our areas, customer prices will be forced to go up. Because community is at the center of all that we do, SESD is doing whatever it can to make sure South Utah County receives the same reliable public power at the affordable prices we're known for... SESD has provided power to this area since the early 1900's as part of the Strawberry Valley Project. Although we have served the area for more than a century, SESD, was created as an electric service district, by the Utah State Legislature in 1985, and we remain the only Electric Service District in Utah... We happily serve 4,000 customers in South Utah County. SESD powers a large percentage of South Utah County farms, agriculture, and orchards and to cities and communities.
