Dave brings business savvy and financial acumen to his roles as board member and chairperson of our board's Investment and Finance committee. The Milwaukee native and retired U.S. CEO of BMO Financial Group was elected to our board in 2012. Dave currently serves as chairperson of the Investment and Finance committee.

Graham Atkinson's experience in brands has served Sentry well during our recent re-branding initiative. Graham joined the board in 2015, after retiring as chief marketing and customer experience officer for Walgreen Co. Prior to that, Atkinson served as an executive vice president of United Airlines, Inc.

Jim Pearson brought an extensive manufacturing background to the Sentry board when elected in 2002. He's the former owner and retired president of Aurora Metals Division, L.L.C., a high-tech foundry for precision cast components. Jim currently serves as chairperson of the Compensation committee.

Jean's entrepreneurial spirit and expertise in running a business benefit Sentry greatly. Elected to our board in 2006, Jean is president, CEO, and chairman of the board of TranzAct Technologies Inc., a Chicago-area shipping logistics management company. Jean first became acquainted with Sentry during her career in public accounting. She currently serves as chairperson of the Audit committee.

Larry brings seasoned leadership and vision to our board. He joined the Sentry board in 2019 after retiring as CEO of the Rush University System for Health and Rush University Medical Center and president of Rush University, positions he'd held since 2002. He also serves on boards for The CORE Foundation, Civic Consulting Alliance, and Joffrey Ballet, all in the Chicago area.

Patty brings extensive healthcare knowledge to our board. CEO Pete McPartland joined us in 2010 and since then has been providing forward-thinking leadership. Under his direction, we've refocused our efforts on positioning ourselves as a leader in the business insurance world. We've also expanded our distribution network by growing with select independent agents.
Pete McPartland has been the CEO of Sentry since early 2012, having joined the company as president and chief operating officer in 2010. His emphasis has included creating growth strategies for Sentry, as well as enhancing and maintaining the strength and vitality of the company's businesses-and maintaining our outstanding financial position. Pete brings a strong background in the operational aspects of the insurance industry.

Pete Pestillo's storied career in the automotive industry has served Sentry well in a number of ways since he joined the board in 2001. In his automotive career, he served as chairman of the board of Visteon Corporation, a worldwide supplier of high-tech automotive systems. He also held senior executive positions at Ford Motor Company, including vice chairman. Pete is our lead director and chairperson of our Governance committee as well as the Strategic Growth committee.

Stephanie's successful career as an educator has helped Sentry in many ways, including being our lead adviser in the reimagining of our approach to training and talent development. She joined our board in 2005. She's the founding president and president emerita of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. Stephanie is an inspiring speaker and writer on leadership, STEM education, talent development, and innovation.
