SHEETS AHOY - Key Persons

Lyndel Rothschild

Lyndel Rothschild began Sheets Ahoy in January 2001 at a time when the marine industry was seeking purpose-designed products and services which met specific marine interior requirements. With over 38 years' experience in the fashion and manufacturing industry, Lyndel Rothschild turned her creative skills to interior decorating for the marine industry. Quickly getting to work on researching, designing and marketing her range of custom made boat sheets, Lyndel very soon discovered that the opportunities for her designing talents extended way beyond simply sheets. And very quickly Sheets Ahoy evolved into a full interior design and fit-out service for yachts and cruisers, offering everything from wool underlays to the very latest in co-ordinated bedspreads and scatter cushions, bedding, crockery, drinkware and much more. The company was officially launched at the 2001 Sydney International Boat Show receiving an excellent reception. Over the next few years as the business grew, Lyndel's youngest daughter Amy joined the design and management team of Sheets Ahoy. Amy's background in Art and Interior Design were a natural fit for the company. The mother-daughter team bring a unique flair to the marine design world, with Lyndel's eye for classic style, elegance and quality, complimenting Amy's sense of colour, and her intuition for contemporary trends.
