George continues to be active with business interests in farming and resort development. George Mackay has been visibly involved in church, public and social service related activism in the Orlando area. Among his activities, George serves on the Board of Directors of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, the Haiti Fund, as Outreach Chairman for the Presbytery (PCUSA) of Central Florida, and the President of a private charitable foundation.

Tom is retired as President of The Trane Company, one of the world's largest industrial companies. He also has held the position of Senior Vice President of American Standard Inc. Nicole Carlin

Nicole Carlin joined CODEP in the fall of 2009. The Carlin's orientation period was hurriedly completed on January 12, 2010 by the terrible Haiti Earthquake (epicenter only a few miles from the CODEP organizational compound in L'acul). Mike and Nicole responded remarkably to the needs of CODEP as well as to the critical issues facing surrounding communities. Their accomplishments in pulling together all CODEP constituencies dealing with the earthquake issues while keeping CODEP on target in its community economic development has been remarkable.The Carlins are from Pittsburgh where Mike was in the construction business. Earlier he served a 9 year stint as Campus Minister for the Presbyterian Church at the University of Pittsburgh. Mike graduated from the Penn State with a BS in Biochemistry and spent a few years working at the university doing research. A graduate of Messiah College of Lancaster, PA in elementary education, Nicole is a commercial artist. She also served as Teaching Director for the Community Bible Study Program in the Pittsburgh. Mike and Nicole have 4 children.

Dr. Abe is a considered to be a world authority on tilapia growth and development. With experience in Africa, Asia and the USA, Dr. Abe married a Haitian and moved to Haiti. He is devoted to restoring Haiti to its rightful place as a commercial fish pr oducer in the Caribbean. Dr. Abe was named by TIME Magazine in May 2000 to the TIME 100 which honors the 100 most influential people in the world.
